Les Darcy vs Harry Greb

You dont prove something didnt happen. You have to prove it did.

Otherwise I could say you're a dirty paedo unless you prove otherwise.

 

Darcy might well have KO'd Fulton in sparring, but it makes no difference whether he did or not. Nothing but clear footage would proved it happened anyway.

Harry Greb tended to beat or trouble everyone he fought. Over a series of three fights, Greb would win at least 1 against Darcy, I reckon.

 

It is hard to envision a style Greb never came across in his 300 fights so this seems a sound observation.

 

More people say it happened, I don't think i've read someone that didn't. So unless you have overwhelming majority or evidence what they said was a lie,you have to take what they said.

 

no the people who say it happened have to be able to prove it happened.

Your thesis, that's like saying prove Harry Greb fought too me right now, I want to see footage of him fighting.

 

Darcy was a very short middleweight, who diied young. Who did be beat to suggest he could defeat Greb?

I would pick Greb who had amazing speed, and a hard to time defense to win on points here.

 

I can provide primary sources of Greb fighting. Can you provide primay sources of Darcy knocking out Fulton?

 

A 'primary source' of a behind-closed-doors sparring KO wouldn't exactly be reliable, would it ? It could (and perhaps should) easily be dismissed as contrived publicity copy or ballyhoo.

 

It.depends on your standard of evidence really. But enough primay sources saying the same thing consistently is a good start.

What does the term "Primary source" indicate? Unless you have actual footage of what Greb fighting in a boxing match, I don't believe you.

I don't need a primary source,you know people have said it,it was written in books and I don't think there has been person who has said it never happened. :hi:

 

:O Les Darcy was just 21 when he died, and started his career 7 years before his death, making him 14 years old when he turned pro.

That is CRAZY. He probably would have gone on to be the greatest boxer of all time. Especially considering I have Greb in my top 5.
