Can someone give me a few big Mexico vs Japan fights? The most recent one I can think of was Hasegawa-Montiel.

And why is it that Mexicans are always going to Japan to fight but never the other way around?

Would you fight for $50K in Japan or $20K in Mexico?

THe recent one between Koki and Ruiz was a big one. Diaz-Ao and Uchiyama-Solis were big ones also.

Are those the realistic differences in the purse?

Speaking of Takashi Uchiyama, his next one is against Bryan Vazquez at the end of the year who is from Mexico. I am sure Mexico will have a celebration should Vazquez wins.

Same reason American fighters stay at home and others have to travel. There is more money to be made in Japan.

Marquez vs Toshiaki Nishioka and Jhonny Gonzales vs Hasegawa and Nishioka. Are other.

TBH, I don't know how much Mijares fights for in Mexico but I remember reading somewhere he fought for $50-$75K in Japan. I'd have to assume he'd have refused those purses if he fought for the same amount in Mexico.

Beat me to it, and to be honest, i think Uchiyama will win that with a highlight reel KO.

As for the thread, Gilberto Roman vs Jiro Watanabe is a good pick.

Arguably the two greatest SuperFly's going at it....and in JAPAN lol.

Yes. Vasquez thinks, he is slick. But he is wrong.

    When did this happen?

Also, didn't Erik Morales fight in Japan once?
