I think that ends any lingering doubts people had that it was a lucky punch:good

The *******s need to pay attention.

The right hand in the above gif is essentially the same right hand that KO'ed Pacquiao.

There's no question in my mind that the big right hand JMM landed in the 5th was the best punch of the round. All you need to do is watch Pacquiao's reaction. He wanted none of that business. Lol...

It caught him off balance a little bit and might have stunned him. But clearly that was not the best punch of the round. Pac caught JMM with a punch that made him touch the canvas, then rocked him badly with a right cross/right hook (check the gifs).

The knock down in the 5th had more to do with JMM being off balance than him being hurt.

Where is he off balance? :huh Unless pac stepped on his front foot which is possible (not visible in this gif), it definitely stunned him tho.

The right hook a minute or so later is what really hurt him.

It counts as a knockdown and it was a good enough shot, but the shot was'nt thrown with enough torque to send Marquez to the canvas or even touch the canvas with his glove had Pacquiao not accidentally stepped on Marquez' foot.
You can clearly see Pacquiao's foot on Marquez as Marquez tries to balance himself but cant because of Pacquiao's foot.

The right hand that stunned and hurt Marquez does so as he does'nt see it coming, just like Pacquiao did'nt see the KO blow.

However, the shot in the 5th which was thrown and landed with the most force was that right hand that Jarred Pacquiao's head sideways and made him cover up.
It does'nt knock Pacquiao down or out, because as you see in the gif, Pacquiao at the last moment sees it coming and starts to brace for it.

The shot you dont see coming is the one that puts you down or out, it does'nt necessarily have to have more punching torque than a punch you've allready taken and saw coming.

Punch of the 5th round was that right hand by Marquez!!!:deal

If you see the replay from above and below you see that he was off balance as Pac's foot is what sends him down. He was caught off balance and that is why he did not retreat when he got back on his feet. If he had been hurt Marquez would not have engaged him after getting back on his feet.

Pac was already moving sideways before the punch landed. Pac was almost in a spinning motion , and you can tell he spotted the punch right before it landed so he prepared for it.

It was a good shot but the one that stunned Marquez looked more effective based on the results as Marquez didnt see the punch coming at all.
