I've read it already on bild.de, but now also boxrec ranks him as Germany's no.1 Cruiser. What do you think?

Hernandez doesn't need gift decisions, so why Germany?

And what if he fights Huck? Which fighter would get protected? The collective German heads would explode!

Well anyway, does this mean more exposure / better fights for Hernandez? He's a brilliant fighter, IMO. I'd love to see him get better international exposure.

He already fights in Germany. I presume that he is now a German citizen due to having lived there for seven years now.

A Huck fight would be unlikely as they are both with Sauerland.

Is a good move for Hernandez, remember that until now he only had a Cuban pass. It means that he needed a visa any time he wanted to move out of Germany (to e.g. UK, Switzerland or any other country outside the EC)

On the other hand in order to have better access to German wellfare it is better to have a German pass.

This also mean for him and his family a better integration in society, and a better aceptance in general.

Look at another Cuban, Juan Carlos Gomez, who after many years in Germany do not posess a permanent recidency status, and still needs a visa to enter Germany, ...

Gomez was a star here in Germany for many years, with over 10 defences of his WBC cruiserweight title. At the end when he wanted to make his own mind by moving to the heavyweight division, Universum was not that supportive (they had the Klitschkos brother with them in that weight), thus Gomez felt sidelined and started to look outside of Universum with no real luck, since then his career has been a mess, althought he was still good enough to become at some point challenger to Klitschkos' crown ....

It's understandable but I don't like Wegner as his trainer and his fight with Ross makes me fear that he's going to be another protected german boxer
