No way in hell would Floyd fight at 154 vs Alvarez, a shot 154 Cotto was fine but a live 154 fighter like Alvarez who would be stronger, faster, bigger than Floyd at 154.

Floyd should never fight at 154 again unless another shot fighter is there for the taking.

Do you think Canelo will press Floyd against the ropes and get in his chest like that?

I dunno, Canelo's flat footed and I've seen him look confused when he gets boxed.

Canelo is bigger than Cotto which makes it even tougher for Floyd. He's also faster than Cotto. I think Canelo's inexperience and lack of specialism will be his downfall against Mayweather however.

It's also the only fight Floyd can have that excites me.

No he would beat Floyd to the punch in the middle, plus then would start to walk him down, Alvarez is strong at the weight, and i noted Floyd's power at 154 is not that good, Floyd hands getting soft hand trouble.

He has a point, at 154, Floyd looks quite slow and his legs looked much more static than usual. However it could well be the same at 147, will have to see, when he fights Guerrero....

Canelo gets thoroughly outboxed if he stays in the middle.

No i think he would lead the attacks and have Floyd backing up covering up and trying to land counters like vs ODH but this guy wont let up and push onto Floyd.

The plan would be start in the middle push him back and damage on the ropes and out muscle him.

Ain't no way in hell Canelo can outbox Floyd anywhere, let alone in the middle of the ring. He is not depending on his skill as a fighter to beat Floyd but rather his size and his power. His plan is to overpower and outmuscle Floyd. If he comes down to 147 then let the fight happen. If he wants Floyd to come up to 154 whereas he will show up at fight time weighing 165 or better then he is dreaming.Floyd aint giving up those kind of odds and I don't blame him. Howerver, Trout is cool with that, cause he is a legitimate 154 lber as is Canelo. The money is there and Trouts skill level is not that of a Mayweather so whats the problem Canelo. I know what it is. Trout will pull the dress off his punk ass and expose him to the world. Not only Trout, there are some good fighters at 154 that will get in Canelos ass.

Note i did not say out box him in the middle but beat him to the punch at 154 Alvarez is faster than Floyd and that make things interesting in the middle to, but this would lead to Floyd backing up into the ropes and the bigger guy out muscling him and trying to beat him up, plus Floyd dont move as much so this more of a problem too.

I just rewatched Holyfield - Moorer II.

Jennings beats Cotto in the rematch.
