Also Kessler is the bigger draw, and doesn't have to "prove it" anymore by traveling outside. And Froch called Kessler not the other way around.

 

Here's an idea have the fight in Vegas or Atlantic city and promote it as an eliminator to face Ward.

Neither owes a fight with the other. But by virtue of holding a W over Froch, Kessler knows he has it over Froch and like the average guy holding the cards he wants to use the bargaining power he has. It's no different than Ward not wanting to go outside of America, or Klitschko throwing in a brother clause or Braddock...throwing in a brother clause. They use what they have to get the best deal they can. If Kessler has a lot of nerve, so do one hell of a lot of the sport's stars in my lifetime, Leonard, ODLH, Mayweather, Pacquiao, etc, with location, glove size, weight class, referee choice, TV option, etc. I'd love to see Kessler come to Nottingham, of course, but this is the business. Take it or leave it. And Froch is well within his right to do either.

 

The first fight was very close, Kessler only just beat a Froch, so a home town advantage may very well be crucial in terms of the outcome of the rematch.

Kessler is within in rights to make this demand, he did win the first fight and he knows Froch has no fear of travelling so believes if he holds out he will most likely get his way.

Fact is the way they were both dominated by Ward there is little pressure on Ward to face either of them. They both need this rematch to get another shot at Ward. Hopefully they can come to a compromise.
