Did this settle it as Floyd probably assumes will happen?

No. Manny Pacquiao had a very impressive performance on ESPN first take that must be taken into consideration.

No. He's not quite as accomplished and you don't win fights by proxy. JMM knocking Manny out did absolutely nothing positive to Floyd's legacy relative to Pacquiao.

You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. Reason why people were accusing Pacquiao of PEDs was because he was accomplishing something special.

112 to 147 is a tough tasks, ask any former flyweights how tough this is to accomplish.

So Chris John is P4P number 1? Or does he have to challenge Singsurat for that? Are we giving Frazier a win over Foreman?

To be honest, you could say it makes Floyd looks worse that a smaller man he beat dominantly was able to achieve what he chose not to do, after getting in the ring with him 4 times. I blame both for ducking/failed negotiations but at the end of the day, it's been 3 years, and Floyd is fine with not fighting Manny Pacquiao.

The accomplishment poll has been done numerous times and manny alwayd spanks floyd. And no we are not 'haters' as Floyd fans always like to label us. It's just obvious

The thing is john -jmm was a close fight but floyd dominated jmm while pac couldn't do anything in 42 rounds. Its not really giving the win away, but more of an indirect achievement. We all know he could beat pac, and since his return in boxing he has become a part time boxer, I could understand why the fight didn't get made but I agree with both being the blame. I know its disappointing but you just can't ignore the obvious, and he deserves the indirect win because the blame lies more on pac/arum's side

You don't get an indirect win no matter what. Boxing just can't work like that. Otherwise rankings and accolades can be given to any fighter who I think beats another just for the hell of it. Bute-Froch, Berto-Ortiz, Douglas-Tyson, Mayorga-Forrest, nobody foresaw those happen. You can't give someone credit for something they didn't do. It dishonors the fighters who sweat and bleed to ascend to heights others merely pretend to aspire to.

And you can't hang a loss over a fighter's head and simply take away their victories for past losses. Bradley didn't beat Khan for beating Peterson. Khan didn't beat Ortiz for beating Maidana. Duran didn't beat Hearns for beating Leonard. Floyd didn't beat Manny by beating Marquez. Wins are won in the ring, not in the extrapolations of our minds.

Floyd is kind of higher now ... but be realistic its only because his zero,
if someone someday take his zero his stock will drop significantly.
