Looks like the Froch fight is almost off.Lucian should fight Adonis Stevenson and be the mandatory for IBF champion between Froch and Kessler.Or move up to LHW for good and take it step by step and win a world title there are some beatable names out there like Shumenov,Fonfara,Cleverly etc.Lucian fights drained at 168 for a couple of years now.If Lucian accomplishes something at LHW Ward would have to move up and fight him.And Bute will have big money fights with Pascal,Dawson,Cloud even Hopkins.Next fight decision is crucial for Lucian's career he will go down or up,drained or not.

 

I see Lucian has no plans in rematching Froch, smart move he should maybe take it as his last fight, he will go back to fighting at home against b level opposition and making good money

The key in your post is the weight issue. Was Bute drained and did it change something against Froch? If yes, Bute should go to LHW.

We know that being drained affect the fighter's punch resistance. Dawson got ko'd by Ward, after all.

I hope Bute-Pavlik gets done Arum has a good relation with Interbox im sure they can reach an agreament even if that means neutral judges.Bute-Pavlik would be sold out in Quebec 15.000 people would attend.I think the fight should be for Lucian's NABF belt at 170.

 

Bute-Pavlik good matchup, he has a good chance to win. But for Pavlik, the blueprint is there. Andrade & Froch had success with pressure him, but what i was afraid of the Froch fight, that he would walk into Bute's left uppercut to the body, but i've got respect for Bute, after getting beaten by a pressure fighter, goes over to face another, even though i generally think it's his own fault, for hiding in all these years.

 

Bute vs Pavlik looks like it might just happen! I got an inside scoop... Bute right now wants big names, and Pavlik is the only one available if you think about it.
