Point it out? Marciano is a undefeated heavyweight champion who retired with a 49-0 record.

How do you beat a man who has never been beaten?

But he's been hit in the head and still never lost.
Joe Louis smacked him right on the chin and he still won.
He has been floored, got up and won.

Agreed, beating Marciano would surely cause a rip in the spacetime continuum and therefore doom of all of mankind.

WVladomeer is nothing more than a common dandy who couldn't hold the likes of William "The Prussian" Sheriff's soiled jockstrap.

You proved with previous posts, along with others that you have no knowledge about the man you are arguing against.

[rusak] "Vlad puts the Marce on ***** street with a jab and then knocks him out cold with the first power punch."

Excellent trolling sir! You should get some sort of award. A cup, or medal of some sort. ;)

Just rewatched Marciano / Layne. Have to say, the way Rocky likes to lean into Layne while working inside might spell trouble vs 'defensive' Klitschko who could grab the opportunity to tie up / tire out the smaller man. That said, Marciano was pretty damn busy in the late rounds compared to a lot of the modern HW around. Good speed and whip to those punches.

Watch LaStarza II. As the rounds passed by the stronger he became, the more you hit him ,he would hit you back with more, his workrate got higher and higher. He was underrated in body punching, defence and ring iQ.

The faint was a tool he used perfectly. He'd feign going in for the clinch and when his opponent relaxed up and opened up he'd lunge in with an over hand right flush on the pucker. Wlads over reliance on the hug would prove detrimental in this situation. Once he feels the power he turns gun shy.

good point :good i said something similiar-ish when discussing why louis would beat wlad, by getting inside and throwing short punches

absolutely. it's a good strategy but it doesn't mean that he'll be able to implement it

I really think that that's the key point (stylistically) of this matchup. If Wlad can manage to effectively smother Rocky, then I think he will win. But if Rocky can lob some of those overhands into Wlad as he comes in, then I think Wlad will fall apart sooner or later. That, and how effectively Wlad can keep him outside with the jab. Klitschko really does have a great jab, but Marciano is such a short, stocky fighter with an awkward style that it won't be quite that simple.

Really, it is pretty damn hard to call on this one. I think it is one of those dream matches that you'd have to see to actually find out how it goes.

People underrate just how fragile (mentally and physically) Wlad really is. He still has a slight panic reflex to getting hit with big shots, which tends to make him go for the clinch, cover up etc, but it's usually only for a few seconds, and doesn't tend to affect the rest of his gameplan. This notion that he's going to fall apart if he takes a few punches is not really one rooted in reality, at least not as regards the current version of Wlad. And as the Haye fight showed, he can take a decent punch without hitting the canvas.

You also have to factor in the effect Wlad's own punches will have on Marciano. It's not like Wlad's just going to be fighting to survive and hear the final bell here. He'll be actively trying to break Marciano down himself.

I've never been knocked out or defeated either. Want to make a case for me?
