Is Martinez-Cintron one of the most disgusting decisions in recent years?

    Not nearly as bad as:
Rios vs. Abril - 12-0 Abril
Helenius vs. Chisora - 12-0 Chisora
Sturm vs. Macklin - 10-2 Macklin
Williams vs. Lara - 9-3 Lara
Bradley vs. Pacquiao - 9-3 Pacquiao

An interesting one I saw in person on the Mayweather/Ortiz undercard:

    Anthony Crolla vs. Juan Montiel

Crolla won all 8 rounds. Almost all of them were very decisive. Montiel never got hurt, but was only slapping while pressuring and not effectively either.

He only managed a SD win, with 78-74 and 77-75 for him and Patricia Morse Jarman somehow scored it to Montiel 77-75.

Needless to say everyone around me was beyond bewildered. So, a near-horrible robbery.

So sad for Martinez to get robbed twice in one fight!

Probably the worst because Sergio actually knocked him out.

Reid had points deducted for punching ottke in the face.

then 3rd is Lara v Williams, it was so one sided I thought Williams might get pulled out coz of the damage he was taking.

While those were all bad. Martinez actually knocked cintron out.

Also Bute Andrade was awful for the same reason

For those who haven't seen it...Martinez knocked him out. Literally. Put him down for a 10 count and the fight was waved off. Cintron then argued with the ref that it was actually a headbutt, and the ref said "lol your prob right, let's throw some thunda" an the fight continued

Not only did it continue...it was then scored a draw. When it should have easily easily easily been a UD Martinez. How can you get robbed of a KO and of a UD. That's nt robbery that's grand larsony.

    This content is protected

The ref for this fight is a puto, one of the worst refs I've seen in my life. He count to ten and didn't give Martinez the KO, taking the point away from Martinez when Kermit was ducking his head low for the whole fight. The judges are also awful, no way was it 113 113

    what?

molinas corner willfully entered the ring while the round was still in play; a violation that results in immediate disqualification.

no one in molinas corner even appealed the dq as it was in the rules.

how was this a **** decision made by the ref?

this is boxing where there are rules, not some playground streethood bull****.

I attended that fight live and was absolutely disgusted with Cintron's behavior. (complained that the KD was from a butt when it clearly came from a punch)

I still don't understand how the ref could reach the count of 10 and yet allow the fight to continue.

Saw the fight btw thank you for making me see it.

It was a disgrace, you can't say the guy was knocked out because he clearly was up on the count of 10 and It shouldn't have been stopped there and it didn't.

The point deduction was horrible and cintron only won rounds 2 and I thik it was 8 or 9 clearly.
Round one could have gone to him aswell so at best we are looking at a

115-112 decision but I would probably make it a 116-111 or something like that.

However you HAVE to remember that Martinez went on to become on of the best boxers on this planet and Cintron went on to climb out the ring.

    So it's all fair.

I think what made the decision that night even more disgraceful was Cintron's stripper dance in the corner when the fight ended. All in all a disgusting night for boxing that day.

I was there that night at the valentines day massacre. That was a terrible decision. the funny thing was teh crowd was way more upset at Nate Campbell getting the decision over Ali Funeka.
