http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/8784628/david-price Looks like ESPN is now on Price's hype bandwagon. Mago, Jennings, and Wilder are the other HWs on the top prospect list.
He's a prospect, no doubt. I'd like to see him tested / hit and hurt though to really judge how good he'll be. It will be interesting to see how he ights Thompson.
One of his opponents caught him off guard and he wobbled,ok,he was caught by a stray shot but he looks like a hype job to me.
Pricey looks the real deal to me, great amateur pedigree, and his style is really suited to the pro game. The only disappointment is his poor competition in recent fights, Fury clearly has the better resume right now
Anybody have a list of the last 10-20 of their prospects of the year? I would love to see how the picks have gone. No problems with this one. Price is untested, but seems pretty skilled.
Agree with Jennings, but it's obvious that they've never watched Mago or Wilder and have just found the two unbeaten HWs on Boxrec with the highest KO%. Those two have poor defense and are KOs waiting to happen.

Anybody else think he could improve his punch technique? This content is protected This content is protected [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaoF-8y8AO8[/ame] @ 6:45 He doesn't seem to fully extend his punches from his shoulders a lot of the time; they seem to go with his arm as he throws as opposed to his arm extending out from them. He still gets a lot of power in them but they look a bit forced. He arm-punches too. I'm guessing by his build he does quite heavy weights but it seems to have made his shoulders quite rounded so that when throws a punch the range of movement is restricted and his punch technique suffers. I think if he took some muscle off his front shoulders and traps and loosened them up a bit his punching would be smoother and harder.
In Oakland that means you get a bottom rocker for the back of your leather jacket. It also means you haven't made it in yet and still have to set up chairs, tables, fetch drinks, and do what your told until you're a full fledged member :smoke
