Not too keen on a rematch. First one proved, based on styles and physical advantages Floyd holds, the results will never change. Faced against a taller, longer, quicker, stronger and equally as smart a counter puncher, JMM has next to no chance.
I am rewatching the bout and I ask myself why some of you wanna see mayweather fight marquez or whoever again, the dude is so damn boring, he throws 1 punch at a time, but in every now and than, but 90 % of the time of the whole ****ing fight, it's like watching wladimir klitschko, I dislike boxing when I watch those guys fight, seriously. you can come to me and speak about how great his defence and movemants are but **** it, he throws 1 punch every 15 secondes the whole damn fight threw. I love combos, or at least somebody or throws a basic 1-2 and if I wanna watch a athletic guy doing that I prefer watching old tapes of mosley, judah or jones than this 1 punch motherf%$&/$/&er
Agreed. :good (I don't rule anything out in boxing though. Mayweather would still be the massive favourite in a rematch, but it is boxing, and I've seen bigger shocks).
Agree with this, Marquez throws unique combinations, not the norm left, right, left combinations, and actually caught Mayweather at times throwing the jab, left uppercut, left hook combination...something the Mayweather defense doesn't expect.
When Nachos instructions during the fight are "finish with dignity" there is no reason for a rematch. Dont see how you gave any rounds to Marquez either.
Had the same opinion before last night, Rico. Even though it was a dominant performance, I still like watching high level thinkers in the ring. Even though Marquez wasn't having a great deal of success, he was thinking all the time, feinting, still trying to break the defense. Great to watch.
4th round I think it was. Mayweather landed nothing but a few clean jabs, whereas Marquez landed the cleaner, more effective work throughout the round. Still a close round, but thought Marquez edged it.
Aye, but with Rios having far less success. Diaz is much better at long range which was why he could close the distance fast. Whereas Rios just walks in to mid/close range with sloppy punches. Could see Marquez picking him off en route to a uppercut KO. :hat
Despite the first fight, I think a second may play out differently, in that Marquez may be more competitive but still lose clearly. I'd rather see this than a fifth fight with Pac. I wouldn't begrudge Marquez a payday at this stage.
Juan struggles when smart technical fighters make him the aggressor. It would be another embarrassment.
