Like I said, I'm just intrigued and wouldn't mind seeing it at all. Definitely over a fifth Pacquiao bout.
if you like 1 punch action (ironic because 1 punch is more no-action than action ) than you have what you want in floyd zzZZZhhh boring
He wasn't as slow as many seem to think, it's just that Mayweather's speed made him look slow and sluggish in comparison. A rematch isn't a bad idea, many people will tune in expecting Mayweather to be troubled yet nothing will be different than the first fight.
To be fair, I do remember his hands being quick, but mostly ineffective whilst throwing combinations when Mayweathers back was on the ropes.
I counted alot more than a few. Everytime Marquez wasnt punching his he'a was getting snapped back with a jab. Mayweather landed a clean left hook and right hand aswell. Marquez landed 2 or 3 good right hands but the jab was the most dominant punch of the round. It doesn't matter. Fact is Mayweather controlled that fight with his jab an didnt even have to get out of second gear. Mayweather wa break dancin in the corner between one of the rounds. It was a relief to most including me because I am a Marquez fan an didnt like seeing him embarrasse like that that he didnt get kod. Marquez is able to exploit Pacquiaos defensive mistakes. Mayweather doesnt make mistakes, and the Marquez i saw against Pacquiao was taking alot of punishment, he won because he caught Pacquiao. Up until then i thought it was Pacquiaos best showing since the 1st fight. JMM is just tough and survived Lon enough to land the shot hed been working on. And Mayweathers decline is exaggerated. He's still quicker, bigger, longer and more gifted than Marquez. He's not gonna catch Mayweather falling in like Pacquiao and honestly I've seen a marked decline in Marquez aswell.
Genuinely just offering my opinion from what I rewatched. Me personally, I find it intriguing, doesn't do a whole lot in terms of legacy unless Marquez causes the upset, or Mayweather stops Marquez, but still, I wouldn't mind seeing two high quality boxers step in the ring again. :good
Pacs distruction of Cotto is the only fight that suprised me and looking back ,it was more of Cotto not being mentally ready. ODH, Clotty, Margarito, were calculated risks and the odds were always in Pacs favor. ODH came down to 147 drained and over the hill, Margo was shot to hell, and Clotty was paid not to fight. I am not impressed. Floyd have never made the 154 limit but he still fought there. He never asked for a catch weight. Matter of fact, he only fought two times at welter before he fought ODH at 154. Mayweather got eight major titles while Pac only got five. Mayweather has never lost or even looked like he loss while Pac has had several disputed decisions and just got knocked the **** out. With the exception of JMM, everybody Mayweather fought was at weight or above. Pac will never be the fighter that Mayweather is.:bbbP.S. six major titles for Pac.
Not interested in this fight. Thank the boxing lords that neither Floyd or Marquez have mentioned anything about a rematch. It has been a struggle for Marquez throughout his entire career to shine. Now that it's his time to shine he deserves to get the most out of it. Let him ride it for as long as it lasts. Floyd only has 2-3 fights left. It doesn't need to be spent on a pointless rematch. It's rare to see that degree of schooling between two certified ATGs
Honestly I'm just tired of him fighting Pacquiao. I was all for a 4th fight, 2 elite fighters fighting but there wasn't a close decision this time, it was as clear a victory as you can get. I'd like to see Marquez fight someone different but there's not really many people out there. Rios would be a good fight but he's just not that big of a star yet. Bradley is good but not really well known either. A Mayweather fight would probably be a bit more competitive than the first but still most likely a clear UD for Mayweather. A fight with Guerrero would be a good fight from a technical standpoint
You know, the more I watch it, the more competitive rounds I start to notice. Perhaps that's just me keeping my eyes on Marquez with the knowledge that Floyd already wins a dominant decision, but there are a lot of smart triggers and maneuvers JMM pulled off in that fight. What bothered me most of all was his lack of flexibility at the waist; he's been bending his waist like rubber since Katsidis onward, but that night he looked too stiff somehow to do so. I'd be intrigued if he fought someone like Bradley first, to see where his hand and footspeed were at.
Perfect fight for jmm to take for two reasons. One a career high payday. Two a shot at redemption. If he wins he can lay claim to the greatest Mexican fighter ever if he loses he makes a lot of money and gets big props for trying to avenge a loss. This fight makes the most sense for jmm a great final fight win lose or draw.
