UFC again? UFC is all hype no substance. They punch like a guy who started boxing a week ago, they clinch and call it "fighting"
they roll around with boring submissions etc

UFC is boring bull**** preceded by loud music, overly excited hype men (Dana White,Joe Rogan)
Loud noises and dumb casual fans wearing corny tap out t shirts.

Had to bump because I was thinking about exactly this yesterday. One amazing thing about boxing is that these guys go from competition in one gym all the way to the top of the international pro ranks and then what do we hear? That we are lucky to see such great athletes? No, it's that if they are not either a championship level fighter, or huge action fighter that they are disappointing. Announcers often talk about how they're not sure if anyone should want to pay to see the fighters they are covering. Hard to imagine announcers in any other sport doing that.

If American boxing broadcasters did the NBA, all they would talk about how Anthony Davis probably won't be as good as Howard and how Howard is no Russell and how watching Gortat and Horford is absolute torture.

UFC announcers, by contrast, do a great job of explaining how good these guys really are by talking about all of their accomplishments before they got to the UFC in wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing and whatever. This also seems to be the case with boxing overseas, where it is more popular.

All you have to do is read a thread like this and that notion is quickly disproved.

Exactly, Scar is the insecure idiot and far from classy.

Im a fan of both sports and I feel no need to put down either one.. It seems like Boxing fans always have to talk **** about MMA. I don't hear many MMA fans do the same when it comes to boxing!!

Funny how you go back a hundred years to try and make a statement :patsch

If it's not ignorance and insults, it's ignoring The State of the Game... Us Mixed Martial Arts fans are fat and happy, and the majority of you are sucking wind and swinging in the air.

Scar, you are an absolute piece of ****. For years you have defended Mayweather like he's a child of yours, and here your immaturity runs wild.

Mixed Martial Arts does some crazy **** to esb.

Some of us still don't understand, 99% of us love Martial Arts, and respect all forms even if we don't like it. The rest of you try to cool this raging fire on a daily basis, and I just don't get it. Instead of looking at your favorite Sport from an objective view, you come and **** on ours. Weak, it never works, and you won't catch me rolling in the gutter with ****s from The General.

    Well said mate. :good

I really don't get it. 99% of all MMA, Muay Thai and & Kickboxing fans love boxing as well, after all we have more similarities than differences. But so many boxing fans on ESB seem to be close minded, ignorant & one track.

    It's very sad.:-(
