I believe following concepts than a 100 moves is ideal and can make your game elevate a lot faster. What are some general/advanced concepts that yous follow? for ex: strike according to their footwork :move either feet or head but not both etc etc Theres some many of these the list can on and on
if your getting hit = work on your defense if you not scoring points = work on offense (attack) a clever boxer wins the fight slow punching to learn technique hit and don't be hit straight punching for range hook & uppercuts inside range
How effective is a cross arm defense (the one Archie Moore and Foreman used) in a low crouch? Obviously I still have to fear uppercuts but it doesn't seem like anything else would go through that.
Theres that many reasons, If the Head is more than 15 degrees from where its supposed to be, the Body is not Balanced. Drop the Chin the Head is 4 inch nearer to getting Hit, plus Hands above the Ears the punching Muscles shoulders , Arms, Back have a response which has to be changed plus it puts strain on the lower Back effects the Hips. Dropping the Chin, reduces the Diaphram from working by 50% restricts oxygen Flow which is important for the Eyes to focus, primary source for the eyes to work, they use very little Blood Flow.Plus all the ATG in any Sport dont do it. If they did it was near the end of there careers, because that is why, they had lost Oral stability.
I dont mean chin to chest, or to any extreme degree. In a recent fight they criticized the fighter for having his chin up. I have always heard keep your hands up and your chin down. Let me ask you cos I dont really know. To me having your chin up in the air is an inviting target. Is the benefits of what you just described worth the risk or are we talking two different things?
Often when people look like they have their chin up, it's more to do with where their hands are when they are punching
