Pac-Marquez 3 and 4. Team Pac was finally figured that age would catch up to JMM and that they could KO him.

Senchenko may have not been a "cherry" in the sense that he was an easy fight, but rather he was a "cherry" in terms of Hatton hand picking him.

And I don't know what the odds were going into the fight but I suspect Hatton was an overwhelming favorite.

I wouldnt suspect that, not against this guy, and not with Hatton coming back after a brutal knock out loss three years ago with an additional three years of Alcohol and drug abuse on that frame.

I honestly think he would have done better against Paulie than this kid Paulie cant punch...

Same thing. They are referred to as cherries because they are being underestimated for various reasons. Sometimes they live up to the charge but a lot of times they don't. So the question is this; what is the criteria for a fighter being called a cherry?:bbb

    ^ that **** wasn't a cherry pick.

that was fail-a-rific promoters dropping the ball.

More Dulorme with big balls. Hopefully he pulls it together and comes back strong.

most fighters cherrypick a little, but to avoid a big fight like Floyd has in favor of fighting Ortiz was surprising.

The kid has the goods but he showed a somewhat fragile chin.
(Let's hope it was just Abregu's punching power & not a glass mandible)

Dropping down a wt class might be the best idea for him.
(Looking forward to see how he does at the lower weight)

This is a good one. Because it was a supposed stepping stone in the never-gonna-happen match between Juanma and Gamboa. They thought they could look more impressive against Salido than Gamboa did and it backfired.

In the same vein, Pavlik vs Martinez followed course with that, he wanted that fight to show that he could look better against Martinez than Williams. That also backfired.

Cherrypick gone wrong, Cotto vs Trout? What do you mean by this, do you think Cotto cherrypicked Trout?

This fight was seen as a high risk low reward fight for Cotto. It's like saying Mosley cherrypicked Forrest. Doesn't make sense.

Unless I just misunderstood and you mean Trout cherrypicked Cotto and the fight came out tougher than he thought?

Baldo was Judah's mandatory. Baldo earned his stripes the hard way.

Everybody except for Cotto who said Trout wasnt on his level and treated him like he was going to be a walk in the park.

I was just watching the countdown to Hopkins-Pavlik. Hilarious how Lowe is talking about koing Hopkins and how confident Pavlik looks. Pure schooling and pure ownage by Hopkins.
