Rigondeaux fans should be glad that Donaire hasn't fought him yet

the only old fighters donaire fought were Arce and Nishioka and they were coming off good wins, its better than espn level fighters, like who the **** is marroquin:lol:

Donaire having suspect defense means nobody has yet to touch him, I could say the same about rigo's body although his chin isn't suspect anymore as it was already proven it was made of glass if that is how you define things:deal

And you're trying to compare rigo to floyd or jmm? those guys are proven and the knockdowns they suffered were from great fighters again, not bumsl:lol: Beating Arce did **** to donaire careers as he destroyed Arce, just like darchinyan, nishioka and montiel. Boxers who are known as hard ****ers who would take and go to war for 12 rounds, only donaire has ever stopped them and knocked them out cold:deal

Rigo needs to step up and fight some top fighters, then lets talk. Till then I want Donaire vs Mares.

Rigondeaux is a really good boxer, but he has some of the most pretentious, fanatical fans on this board... you'd think he was the second coming of Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson the way these guys talk about him based on 11 ****ing pro fights against mostly cans. I can't wait to see their reactions when Donaire annihilates him.

Donaire prefers to counter with the hook rather than to lead with it.

He'd be well advised to use his feints to try and draw out Rigo's counter lefts - and then to counter them.

Though, I do think either fighter could potentially go to sleep if the other is able to connect big with their left.

If Rigondeaux can't even knock out the likesa of Marroquin or Corrodoba he's not knocking out Donaire

Even when he knocked Kennedy down 5 times Keenedy wasn't hurt he just has zero technique or balance.

the most possible excuse out there would be that he was rush and he was still inexperience as a pro fighter:lol: David reid all over again

darchinyan, nishioka and montiel all pass their best. Rigo is a young up and comer if he gets beat by Donaire fine, but Donaire needs to put a real live body on the books period.

Rigo's pop is more than sufficient for the weight.

Much of his power has to do with his speed and accuracy.

I contend that if he catches his aim as the target is moving into the blow, than he is certainly capable of putting most 122 lbers to sleep, and Nonito is no exception.

  12. You do realise Rigondeaux is older now than Vic and Montiel fought him (both was rated in the p4p top 10 when Donaire starched then too)

good point, but we've seen Donaire vs guys who don't give him much to counter (Narvarez, Vazquez). He tends to get over anxious and lunges forward with lead hooks and uppercuts like he's superman. That version of Donaire would lose 8/10.
Now the one that fought Nishioka loses 6/10 imo. Very tough and cerebral fight for both fighters

Is the implication that an aggressive Nonito would lose 8 out of 10 times to Rigo and a more patient version of him would lose 6 out of 10 times?

Or are you referring to rounds?
