[yt]w7vZgAWxS3g[/yt] :think Kick lands at 11:15 Ghita falls HARD, lying fully on his side by 11:16 He stays on his back in a daze until 11:23 He still hasn't fully regained his standing as of 11:26 - a full ten seconds after hitting the mat. It's 11:28 before he's totally upright. Still with the dazed look, nose busted, seeing two of the ref, not quite "ready to go". Correct stoppage.
Yeah but it wasn't 'lights out' or whatever that matey said. That was his main discrepancy I thought.
Lights out for seven seconds. :yep Had the ref foregone the count and waved his arms before Ghita sat up, I doubt there would be much nitpicking. He made a brave show of standing, but he almost certainly got spared further/worse punishment (likely at the start of the 2nd) as he didn't look fully recovered to my eyes.
He took a kick to the temple and he was a mess. He looked like he wanted to fight but if he took a 2nd kick to the temple.... well he could have died. It was a good stoppage by the ref.
Anti climax. Ghita is great and Schilt is still easily the man to beat, even though he is easier to hit these days. Rangy and powerful punchers like Jamal could cause an upset for the almost 40 year old Schilt. Good show, but it would have been so much better if the would have stuck to the original K-1 format ... with all the fighters having their own entrance as well.
