Greatest Mexican Fighter of All-Time

Top 5, and I considered him top 2 at that time but in an argument and easily 3-5, but no one liked it because i was counting the Pt 3 of Pacquiao as a defining win, and a 5th title which if he would have got it would have made him the 5th title and 1st mexican to accomplish that.

Which is why I ranked him number 2, and easily top 5.

Before the fight it was an arguament that he was number 2, after the KO there is no ARGUAment, it solidifies it, and is close to JCC< only if he can get that official belt off of BRADLEY would people argue, why he could be considered 1st but I dount he'll ever take the title of greatest mexican fighter ever, people will argue there asses off before that happens.

1a. Julio Cesar Chavez<> Heart, will, stamina, chin, and intelligence in the ring were second to none in his prime. He knew how to cut off the ring, took his time dissecting his opponent, and went in for the kill like no other.

1b. Salvado Sanchez<> What he did at the tender age of 23 is magnificent. I believe he may have been a little more fluid than JCC in the ring, and I would have loved to have seen that battle.

2-10? I can't really comment on the other guys (Saldivar and the like) cause I haven't followed their careers. But from what I have read, there aren't many legendary names on their resumes.

2. Morales - I still say Pac caught him towards the tail end of his career. He may very well have been the first to KO Pac, but he was pretty battle worn by the time he beat Pac the 1st time.

3. Barrera - He did surprisingly better the 2nd time than the first time he fought Pac. I also think Pac caught him after MAB had multiple wars. But even prime for prime, I don't know if he could have ever clearly beaten Pac like Morales and JMM did.

4. Marquez - Yes, he beat Pac better than Morales, but I can't see Morales or Barrera losing to Norwood or Chris John (even if it was a robbery or unjust decision).

If they fought at Welterweight I absolutely believe Sal would have lost just as widely as Marquez. Then you consider that it wasn't even the best version of JMM in there.

Sanchez was better, I think, but not by too much. He had his struggles against wholly mediocre guys like Cowdell and Ford himself. Obviously his career was tragically cut short, but you can only take things for what they are. Marquez has more impressive accomplishments, a more impressive career - he's the greater fighter, even if just by a little bit.

Very highly.

He's my #2 guy for a reason. Realistically, I could see Saldivar, Olivares, Marquez, and Sanchez shuffled about in any order, but I like them like that.

No, as much as I hate the little ****, Chavez is the best ever out of Mexico. Longevity counts for a lot, and he beat a lot of very good fighters. Sanchez is my favorite ever, but that doesn't mean that he has to be considered #1 or anything. Lists like that don't mean anything to me. How good a fighter is doesn't factor in to whether or not I'm a fan.
