2 and 3 are very close but overall JMM's body of work has to be favored over Sals slightly superior natural talent and ability.

the rest is arguable in my opinion,I have no problem chavez being #1 considering he had a longer career then Sanchez but Salvador was elite & KO'd the #1 p4p fighter at 22 sky was the damn limit for this kid.But if we're going off total accomplishments I suppose it's fine.

 

Out of that murderers row hands down Sanchez is the greatest. I see alot of Finito, Chavez, Barrera, Marquez, Saldivar, and Morales in him. Fast reflexes, iron chin, ironman endurance, counterpunching that even Floyd would envy, and deceptive power at any moment in a 15 round fight. I always wondered why Chavez Sr repeatedly answered he was the best of his era when asked if he thought he was the best of all-time. Not many accomplish in a whole career what Chavita already had at 23. A prime Sanchez at 25-30 would of changed history.

 

:deal Yea I agree. First rounds woulda been quite fun, but Napoles would of been too accurate and humbled Cuevas. Duran vs Napoles thats a match made in heaven!

 

Look at what sanchez accomplished by the age of 23 and compare the rest. There is no comparison. JCC didn't fight anyone near as good as SS did in his first 44 fights. It's one of the greatest shames in all of sports that SS died so young and full of promise. Nobody can say what he would have done or what his career would have looked like if he had fought for another 10 years. But for me when, comparing all these other guys first 44 fights to SS, SS takes it for me.

Nice. I have a very similar list. Chavez, Saldivar, and Olivares rounding out the top three. Canto at number six and Zarate ninth.

I'm struggling now to secure a name (Sanchez and Marquez) for the 4th and 5th spots. I'm kind of leaning towards Marquez at this point as I really like his jumping through the weights, beating Pacquiao, in my book, four times at various distinct stages of Pacquiao's career, in addition to his other victories and losses that I scored as victories.

I have Barrera and Morales flipped around even though I think Barrera was more complete and skilled mostly because of the Pacquiao victory for Morales. I always debate whether to have Lopez, Arizmendi, Azteca, or Baby Casanova for the 10th spot. I'm not versed enough on the latter two either to soundly justify my placing on any given day.
