dude fought everyone if some people he shouldnt have not. he was robbed vs mosley 2 and he clearly beat tito. he to me is a ATG.
If bottom line counts.... Absolutely. ODLH is boxing. In the end he will go down as the "Golden Boy" & will pass both Arum & King. So yeah... Oscar is the GOAT. (As a fighter & promoter he is untouchable)
Believe me Sturm is a pimple on the ODLH resume when it's all said & done. (Oscar changed the game for retired fighters)
yes he is ATG. Not a really top ATG, but he is in there. I would have loved to see him fight at 140 for a long time and develop himself there. He would have had quite a legacy.
It really depends on how big your pool of ATG fighters is. 100? 200? Oscar was great for his time, but when I think ATG, I consider how someone measures up against the best that ever did it. If you're like top 70ish, you aren't really amongst the very best, right?
His career evenend out, he deserved to get the win over Tito and mosley (2nd fight) but he deserved to lose 2 of 3 fights with Sturm/Whitaker/Quartey
What style of boxer was Oscar de la Hoya. Been watching a few of his fights quite recently, he posessed good speed and power but I'm unsure as to what his style was. Outside fighter Inside fighter Slugger Boxer-puncher Counterpuncher
ODLH hands down is an ATG. If folks want to say Mayweather is an ATG, then ODLH is leagues ahead of Mayweather.
