geeez ... he must have a cancer ... look how skinny he is comparing to his last fight :hey
he barely take a breath sparing with his old trainer ... but I bet a few weeks of hard work
and he will be ready for a next title shot ... what? ... Povetking need a last minute substitute very soon!

He's better off with less weight IMO. He's as stiff as a nail. He should take gymnastics for rehabilitation.

He definitely was stiff after Brewster and slightly overweight.
If he can stay below 244 lb he may still win some and get back
into top 10 even these days ... I don't see more than 10 boxers
who are definitely better even over stiff Golota.

I re-watched his second fight with Bowe today - he was a decent enough fighter back then. It's a shame we never got to see him in with a Klitschko.

He should stick to 240 and learn to move again. Only chance for him is to go back to his 1995 training routine. And maybe even the same psycho haircut.

mark calendar, mid March Golota- Wlad in a substitute for the cancelled in the last
minute Povetkin-Wlad ... due to Povetkin fainting at the ring entrance and Golota
being the VIP guest in the first row, while Wlad calling ....
"for God's sake, Sasha stand up or I will pick up the first guy sitting in the first row"

Okay, Oleg maskaev just won his comeback fight.

Who'd like to see Golota-Maskaev down the line, winner gets a shot at Povetkin.

kind of probable outcome but Povetkin wont be belt holder at that time for sure,
maybe the fight will be for a Russian federation golden star belt.

This is crazy stirring up old memories & emotions. He looks Damn GOOD! Good enough to make a serious comeback if he really wanted?

Like Bathory said, he needs to get limber again. For someone his age & that huge of a build, it is not an ez thing to do. But if only the clock could be turned back a little...so we could see that great jab & those terrific combo's again.

Minus the shots south of the border, of course...

Anyway, I wish him luck in this farewell fight. Maybe he'll look so good, Mariola will let him fight on!;)

Golota would be lucky if he was still top 100, never mind top 10. Some people really go too far in their critique of today's HW division. Golota may be able to beat some Journeymen, and shot to **** guys like Danny Williams, Owen Beck, and Hasim Rahman but he doesn't stand a chance against anybody half decent.

With that being said, I hope he wins his fight this year and I wish him the best.

Its my dream that he wins via looking like the old Golota. Without the "nut combos".

    :happy

Somebody already said this and I will repeat, this is not a comeback fight, this is a farewell fight. His opponent Saleta is completly shot and I highly doubt he will survive even the first round. Saleta gave his kidney to his daughter, I hope Golota will not hit him in his only one. Anyways, these two were suppose to fight back in 2005 but Golota pulled out due to injury and Saleta fought Mccall instead, lost by TKO4 although won the 3 rounds prior to TKO. As for Golota, he fought Adamek a few years ago and he was completly outclassed and knocked out, and we all know now that Adamek is Averagamek so this should show you how shot Golota is as of right now.
