froch beat taylor but that's it i think. it must have a bit of an advantage, just like in football where the home team usually wins

Hahaha Eurofags. Can't actually argue with the decision, but maybe... like... magic Oakland radiation made their heroes lose. Surely their heroes would have fought better otherwise.

Froch-Taylor wasn't part of the Super 6, it was Froch's first defence after beating Pascal.

Not really. It's a bussiness tbh and Ward is the champ. He dictates.

    To get paid.

Froch and Kessler are raking in more than Ward and Dawson got, and a rematch would sell in Europe.

Ward hasn't got many options around him, which is why they are dredging up Kelly Pavlik to try generate a few $$$

After that, who's next? Tavois Cloud vs Ward @175? Yeah, that'd really put butts in seats.

Ward v Dawson did 7,000 tickets

Froch v Kessler 2 will do AT LEAST 25,000 tickets

It does take guts although different circumstances. I think Ward would always beat Froch as Mayweather would always beat JMM.

:patsch Wards best win is an unwell, double vision suffering fighter, that Calzaghe beat when undefeated.
I dont think a fighter that has a whos who of the SMW division on his resume, needs it legitimised.
All Ward is, is a SMW who has had 5 world title defences, holding the WBC & WBA SMW titles, which is roughly what and where Kessler was, when Calzaghe beat him :hi:
Its what you do in big fights and world title fights that count.
Many fighters early in their careers fight in foreign locations, like when Hatton fought in New York in his second fight. It means nothing, as Hatton wasnt being thrown in to lose. It was a big deal when Hatton defended away though.
Ward has never tested himself in a big world title fight by being the away fighter. Tell me one time, Ward was considered the away fighter in a world title fight?
Froch, AA and Kessler have all proven themselves as the away fighter.
Tell me one away fighter that won in the S6?
If you dont think home advantage counts for much, then Im surprised Wards team didnt dare travel.
    Consider this -
    In Europe
Bute, Dirrell, Pascal, Andrade, Green, Lucas, Lacy, Manfredo, Pudwill, McIntyre, Jimenez, Sheika, Brewer, Mitchell, Schommer, Holmes, Close (I said based in America), Thornton, Essett, Jarvis, McClellan, Perez, Gatti (not Arturo), Tate, Butler, G Johnson, Hernandez, Bryan
    Lost in Europe
This just gives an idea but do consider that out of those 28 fighters 21 were or became world rated in the division, and some fought more than once in Europe.
You can add Mack to that list also to make 29 fighters.
    Tells all right there

European SMW fighters fighting away from home have had better success but still lost away.

Ward would no way fight Froch in the UK.
Ward is very smart with a great team around him, and entered a competition where all of the original contestants travelled abroad except for him.
Froch really in a way became the S6 legend even though he didnt win
Ward fights unwell Kessler at home, good win
Ward then fight A Green. Is that now a top major fight and win.
Ward then gets unfairly given 2 points when he didnt fight Dirrell.
Ward then fights Abraham who was on a 1-2 run and had lost his last 2 S6 fights. Thats not impressive.
Ward then fights old jaded plodder Froch and guess what? Ward was the home fighter in all of those fights.
If anything Froch deserves to be called the S6 legend.
    He fights Dirrell at home
    Kessler in Denmark
    Abraham in Finland
    Johnson in America
    Ward in America.
Consider that Froch was away in his fight before Dirrell, and that was against another original S6 fighter.
So out of the 6 original S6 fighters Froch fought all of them and Johnson, and was away for 5 out of those 6 fights and that takes its toll on any fighter, and with all those things against Froch and the fact that he is an old past best fighter, he only lost by 2 points on 2 cards against Ward and slow old Froch was beating Ward in the last couple of rounds, then Froch fights Bute straight after who Ward didnt want to fight.
Thats just as impressive as Ward was, never once the away fighter and had an easier run.

Calzaghe beat a one handed Kessler and then refused to give a rematch on neutral territory, infact it's funny Kessler never got a rematch despite being a champion and travelling down to Wales to fight Joe and it's also funny niether Reid or Hopkins got a rematch both guys gave Calzaghe his toughest fights yet Mario Veit a guy Calzaghe blasted out of there in ONE round previously was worthy of a rematch :oops:

A fighter who held the weakest of all the recognised world title belts stayed mostly at home to defend his 'title' and happened to have an equally protected fighter in the same division both men going on long unbeaten streaks while avoiding each other was not ideal.

It took Joe 41 fights before he became unified and lineal champion yet Ward has managed to do it in 25 fights while facing decidedly stiffer competition, unless you think Lacy and Brewer are better oppenents then Froch and Kessler.

Khan has been fighting outside the UK for some time now... he never gets any credit. What matters is what you do in the ring... I doubt change of location would hinder Ward on putting on another masterclass against Frochy.

You have to feel sorry for Ward as it must suck being a homer to a place who's residents don't even care about watching him.

Respect Ward more than Kessler for whooping Froch's ass in crystal clear fashion.

I've said it before and I will say it again! I really cant see, why so many licking Wards ass! What a f...... **** he is and the worst champion I can remember. Get you sorry ass up in the ring, istead of talking **** and hiding youself in Oakland. He is young and should be hungry, but no, he rather wait, so Kessler and Froch can beat eachother up and then the oooooohhhhh so hungry and talented Ward, will take the leftovers. What a BIIIIIIIIIIIG joke you are, Ward! F....... *****!
