There is no justification for it. It is mere speculation.

I know I am in the minority here, but I did not think he beat Werdum. If you feel he won, that is a good win. He definitely defeated Lesnar. Hate how Lesnar got to the title or not, that is a good win. I can see how someone can justify his being in the top 5, but I have no idea what means one has to justify his occupying the top spot.

It's obviously a very subjective choice, and all 4 are comparable. But just something about Overeem when he's fighting MMA rules. I can't see anyone beating him in the octagon right now.

Cormier and Cain are similar fighters with similar skill sets. So are JDS and Reem. I pick Cain and Cormier over either Reem or JDS as they can put those guys on their backs and they will gas in 2 minutes. So, 1. Cain 2. Cormier =3. Reem/JDS

(I think Cormier is the better fighter, but Cain is more proven for now)

To be fair he's won what is it 11 of his last 12 fights by stoppage in the first round?

I think he's top 5 for sure, infact, I think he's number one.

    This :deal

    People are overrating Cormier.

It is not like he completely destroyed Barnett.

Could rank them a bunch of different ways. Head to head id have it reem Cain Jds Cormier. Cormier is the least proven. Reem is invincible, I give werdum the best chance of besting him in a five rounder

in the overall scheme cormier has done nothing.. not a thing..
he has a win over a war weary barnett and the absurdly overated silva and thats it.. if hed done this in the ufc hed be ranked about where mir or noguira are today.
hes a bright prospect but in terms of achievment he cant hold a candle to the claim of best heavyweight in the world
