Better Resume: Morales,Chavez,Mayweather,Pacquiao,Sugar Ray Leonard or Cotto?

    Ayub Kalule is unquestionably the fifth best win on Ray Leonard's resume. He'd probably be the top 154 pounder in the world today and regardless, was a damn good fighter/technician.

    A 147 pound 2008 De La Hoya was not better than a 2009 Miguel Cotto, Chatchai Sasakul, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba, or even Joshua Clottey. No case for a shopworn Ricky Hatton being above Cotto (and several other names) either.

    Edwin Rosario has to be on there. Has to be. Arguably his best performance over a versatile, well-schooled, and ridiculously dangerous puncher who now has a place in the IBHOF. You could possibly throw in Roger Mayweather to that list, too.

    Here is floyd_g.o.a.t chiming in with his great lack of boxing knowledge again. Sugar Ray Leonard tops this list easily, but of all time? No. It is well known among boxing historians that the great Harry Greb had undoubtedly the greatest resume in the history of the sport. No one beat more Hall of Famers than Greb. He also beat a lot of these guys while blind in one eye, not to mention the fact that he beat all the best middleweights, light heavyweights and heavyweights that would fight him. Do your research.

    Leonard is an odd fighter. Only 40 fights in a career but fighting Duran 3 times, Hearns 2 , Benitez,Hagler. And beating them all overdoes all the other guys.

    Only problem - and I do think Greb is #1 - is that its so relatively easy to get that HOF attachment now. Of course there is no film on Greb although we've got a fair number of his opponents to validate his standing. But taking someone like Robinson for instance who beat ten Hall of Famers... Which fighters aside from Kid Gavilan (and welterweight version of Armstrong) would you put on the same level talent and ability wise to Hearns, Hagler, Benitez, Duran or in some cases even the ambidextrous Kalule? I think they would be the only two for me.
