When the fighter with less or same amount of fights is considered a step up to the fighter with more fights on his record

Jacobs 20-0-0 (vs) Pirog 16-0-0. Pirog had less fights but fought at a far higher level, beating fighters like Ajetovic and Jantuah

Pavlik 31-0-0 (vs) Taylor 27-0-1. Pavlik had, had more fights, but Taylor was the more accomplished fighter, with a record of 4-0-1 in world title fights.

Bute 30-0-0 (vs) Froch 28-0-0. Both had, had 30 fights and both had mixed in world class. Froch was 5-2-0 in world title fights and had only once been a convincing winner. Bute was 10-0-0 in world title fights, yet it was Froch who was considered the step up for Bute.

    Give me some more examples

I never thought of that, and what a fantastic example. I was thinking even about some of Tysons early title fights

    Holy-Bowe 1

Holy (28-0) was a big step up for Bowe's (31-0) 1st title fight. Holy had been a pro for 4 more years & won a world title in his 13th fight.
