Oscar De La Hoya in his younger days or Juan Manuel Marquez?

Juan Manuel Marquez in my opinion. They are very similar but Juan uses the uppercut much more in his combinations.

Sorry but its JMM not even a question.
Oscar would throw flashy judge friendly flurries, JMM is pinpoint accurate.
JMM also has a much wider punch selection.

    Marquez.
Should have made it tough and made it Roy Jones and marquez.

    :think

DLH was more devastating with the body blows he included in his combinations, and probably quicker, but JMM is so textbook and fluid with the way he incorporates them into his counters with side-steps. I think JMM edges it on variation and creativity.

Both are terrific in my opinion - it's preference really. I'd probably go with Marquez, but only just.

DLH's flurries were like artwork, but the only punch that could hurt you in the sequence was the left hook.

I have to go with Marquez. Oscar was just bigger and stronger

There are very few fighters I'd consider a superior combo puncher to jmm and Oscar aint one of them.
