Not everyone goes 100% during sparring. These are professional fighters. They spar for multiple reasons.

No,you're 100% right. 43 year old Johnson(44 tomorrow) who had never held a title at SMW,and who had lost 6 of his previous 10 fights was a good win for Groves...really showed him as an up and comer.

Dirrell has a win over Arthur Abraham...so Groves actually has to do sopmething to catch up with Dirrell...even though Dirrell has barely fought in 3 years

 

Who had abraham beaten at SMW when Dirrell fought him.
Abraham had only beaten J Taylor coming off a KO loss and was schooled by Froch in his next fight, the same Froch, who after that fight was taken to a Mdec by Johnson.
So Froch schools Abraham who Dirrell has beaten and its a top win for you
Froch fights Johnson to a Mdec who Grove schools and you ridicule a 16 fight novice.

Ah the old, it doesnt matter what hes done at another weight theory.

They sure as hell werent fighting guys who were nearly 44,and had 17 losses! and who had lost 5 of their last 7 fights!

Dirrell was fighting an undefeated fighter in his 16th fight as it happens.

You seem to think being undefeated means something,so that must mean it was a great win.
