    Is Joe Louis not a documented wife beater? People should stick to respecting people for what they were successful at and leave the hero worship at the door.

    What a fighter! What a man. Today people don't realize the AWE and LOVE America
    had for Joe Louis when he fought. As someone said " Louis is a credit to his race,
    THE HUMAN RACE". Then and forever....

    so is ray robinson, actually robinson was much worse, the amount of things louis did for people was incredible, never said louis was perfect did i? i made a video dedicated to him thats all. He inspired many, and still does.

    Well Ray being even more of a piece of **** isn't really a defence of Joe.

    I don't know too much about Joe Louis as a man, so i'll hold back from further comment.
