against guys like Fonfara, Chilemba, white, grachev, i doubt he'll get the bigger name fighters like pascal, dawson or cloud. I'm a massive skeptic of bellew, and i haven't been impressed by his 2 recent performances. i could see the first 3 fighters outclassing him, i think this year is the year we see how good he is, against miranda and the argie his punches were way off the mark, and his power wasn't all that evident IMO.

I think he beats the likes of Chilemba and Grachev, or even WBA champion Shuemenov now. All decent fighters but that's it.

Don't think he's ready yet for the likes truly elite guys like Dawson or Pascal. They're both too strong and skilled. Tony I think could do with a few more fights against some well ranked fighters to gain some more experience.

I think Tony's power is a lot better when he flows with his punches and boxes more. He has very good skills, it's just all about learning how to use them properly. When he goes looking for the one punch knock out he gets too wild and reckless. It's all a learning game though, he'll improve on this the more fights he has.

Would love Bellew to win a world title, a proper character and an honest bloke.

I rate him, but he does need to find an ''in between'' method, he either tries to take an opponent's head off with every shot or goes into full blown retreat - the only time he's really put it together was the Cleverly fight.

I think deep down he lacks confidence in his stamina and chin at times, which obviously affects someone's gameplan.

He's clearly got plenty of skills, a really good jab, footwork etc, just needs more experience.

I think he could beat Pascal, occupy him with the jab and don't get caught with anything silly. Pascal's athleticism and unorthodoxy would be an issue, he's powerful enough to hurt Bellew, perhaps not one-shot him but not far off I don't think.

i'd pick glen johnson to make a come back at 175 and give him a hard night, he's not as great as his fan boys on the brit forum claim he is. he'd get taken out when he steps up to world class. i'm quite sick of this talk about him being a huge puncher cleverly ate everything he threw at him so did the argie(he didn't look all that fazed by knock downs)

I think he can win a world title, The Dawson fight is a tough ask and tough call for us because we don't know how Chad will come back from the loss to Ward and how his body will handle the jump back up in weight even if it is only one weight class.

His best boxing display was against Cleverly IMHO, I think he was frankly sumblime in middle rounds considering the circumstances. I feel he's developed his technique and style and mindset enough to challenge for world titles against likes of Shumenov and Cloud.

He beats Shumenov IMO, He can beat Cloud as well as long as he keeps wits about him Clinton Woods landed jab upon jab on the lad and Cloud hasn't developed greatly as a champion. He's got respectful power at world level. I think Hearn matching him with Miranda was smart, I'd like to see him vs Chilemba.

There all winnable fights as long as he boxes to a plan. I think Dawson if the Dawson who beat Hopkins beats him though sadly. Tony runs him close but Chad is a good fighter and think gets home 116-111.

I don't get why you keep saying Bellew is weight drained, he only walks around at 10lbs above his fight weight so he'd be small Crusierweight if he did move up. It's not like he's kid either who'll grow into the weight. He's 30, his body has done all it's developing.

He threw over 800 punches in his last fight, doesn't appear to have any major stamina issues, moves around the ring pretty well, has a decent KO record and hasn't been knocked down in quite a while.

Why do you keep pushing this belief that he's destroying himself by fighting at 175lbs? There's no evidence to suggest this is the case.

i'd love to see him fight Pascal, think he could win. Find Pascal over rated. Terrible stamina, think Bellew could outjab him making him have to work harder than he'd be comfortable with. Would be far from a certainty obviously with Pascal's power, but a fight i'd really like to see.

I agree. I know he was ABA HW champ and he couldn't make 175 in time for the last minute Cleverly fight but I don't see anything in his body, frame, performances etc. to say that he's killing himself to make Light Heavyweight.

All id say is stop going for the KO and stick to your boxing. If jawson gets caught by a Bellew Bomb(as long as its through his boxing) hes a gonna

    He's European level.

He's capable of edging the low level "world class" guy's if he has a good night, but that's it.

Dawson schools him and stops him late, easily.

He probably is what he is at this stage. He must be knocking on 30 now? Good fringe world class fighter, maybe pick up a belt but I can't see him doing too well against the real top guys even in a pretty mediocre division.

i agree with this, it makes me laugh how ppl on this thread think he'd beat the likes of pascal so easily based on running and looking negative against miranda, and looking sloppy as hell against balonti.
