It's the absolute best way to hype the Floyd-Canelo fight, and GBP would probably make more in the increase in buys than they would if HBO or Showtime bought Canelo-Trout by itself. It could very well be fake but I doubt Trout would tweet something like that as a joke or a tease. I say it's real.

I'd say it's the latter, but may actually see it in September if Mayweather and Canelo both come through relatively unscathed.

Canelo vs Trout on 5 de mayo?

Wouldn't that generate more buys as the "main attraction" :blood

Has Canelo been on PPV yet?

Genuine question, always thought he was on the regular channel for now.

He fought on the undercard of Mayweather - Cotto against Mosley.

Not as a headliner. Only on the Mayweather-Cotto undercard against Mosley, though it was treated like a co-feature. Trout is better known now than before but still nowhere near a household name, and only Mexicans would buy Canelo-Trout as its own PPV. Seems much smarter to make it an incredibly enticing addition to the Mayweather card, with lots already feeling Guerrero is not a threat.

Looks real to me. And if true then i don't wanna hear another person moaning about this card!

What a bloody superb card! If Broner vs Burns was added on aswel i might have a wank over this card (no homo)

How come September? Is that the date Floyd's given or something?

That's more like speculation then obviously. Still, wouldn't be surprised.

I mean as the headline. :good

:good Didn't think they would have thrown him on as the headline of a PPV just yet. Although he has a great Mexican following, he needs time to create the longevity of being a PPV attraction. Can't just throw him in and expect people to continue to pay full price PPV over what looks to be a long, promising career. He's only young.
