Underwhelming fight but not a dreadful fight either. There's guys like Macklin, Pirog, Golovkin who'd all love a bash off the winner. Hopefully we see them guys fighting in 2013.

    That's actually great news.

Guerrero would become a lock as Comeback Fighter of The Year for 2013 if he beat Quillin & Rubio. (although I suspect El Veneno would chin him and set him back again, being vastly superior and more ferocious to Grady Brewer...)

Quillin, meanwhile, would have an excellent campaign himself scalping Guerrero and Rubio and would then have a run of five solid victories of quality unmatched by any middleweight except Maravilla himself. Star-making schedule.

He falls short at world level, doesn't mean he sucks balls.

Oof, that just shows how poor the matchmaking has been at middleweight if a run including just knocked out McEwan, old Wright, and Guerrero is regarded as one of the best. This is the same way Chavez's 4 fight run starting with Zbik made him regarded as the second best in the division.

Is Quillin beats Guererro and Rubio in a row, he'll have actually accumulated a pretty decent resume.

Obviously Id like to see more of the absolute top guys fighting though obviously.

One things for sure..Guererro and Rubio are far better opponents than Rosado!

the winner should fight Hasan ndijamkijamjajam (whatever the **** his name is)

Rubio is boring, his fight against Chavez jr was a stinker.

    Uh, no.

Chavez got a gift against Zbik, who's garbage.

    Manfredo? Don't be ridiculous.

Rubio & Lee are about on par with beating McEwan and old Wright, and presumably Guerrero.

N'Jikam > anything on Chavez's resume. (not counting the Molina robberies)

As I said, Guerrero & Rubio would make five consecutive solid victories for Quillin.

Chavez had a run of two, and neither of them is anywhere near Quillin's best of those five.

Rubio isn't a bad match up for either guy. He wouldn't be my first choice but he's not bad.

Quillen will have put together a solid run if he gets by both Guerrero and Rubio.

I don't like Guerrero's chances vs Quillin, but I think Rubio-Quillin coild make for a very nice fight. I see Quillin winning a tough battle.

At the presumed end, it would be a decent run. After that bring on Golovkin or Martinez.

Guerrero can present similar problems for Quillin as N'jikam with his speed, movement and stance but he's even less durable and Quillin with catch him eventually.

Hey IB, Rubio doesn't have Brewer's skill, Grady roughed up Guerrero, out slicked his ass, then KO'd him.

I think Guerrero gets KO'd mid rounds.
Quillin most likely decisions Rubio with some house cards aiding him.

Brewer is more polished than Rubio and did pose some difficulties for him when they met h2h, but ultimately Rubio was able to grind him down in the 7th and make him quit. (although Brewer later blamed injuries)

Rubio has also fared much better against common opposition. (lasted much longer against Pavlik, stopped Zertuche instead of losing to him, and blew out Ivory in 1 as opposed to UD8...)

He's maybe less conventionally skilled but clearly the better overall fighter than Brewer.

Stylistically, he's built to destroy Guerrero. It would take a very careful game plan and sticking to it 100% for Guerrero to get by him.
