Sat right next to Byrd at a fight, hell of a nice guy. That being said, LL would have crushed him.

The coward Lewis admitted he's afraid of southpaws, he blatantly ducked Byrd and Sanders.

    Byrd would've schooled Lewis.

Sanders would've annihilated Lewis in the 1st round.

On some level I did, but I can't imagine Lewis having struggled too much against Chris. I like Byrd, and think he was an outstanding boxer and overachiever, but Lewis had all the tools to make that match a living hell for Byrd.

    Maybe CS

Most likely easy UD or stoppage for LL

Sanders would have a decent chance vs LL, especially if he caught him early like he did Wlad.

Lewis would beat Chris, maybe not that easily, but comfortably

Byrd looked terrible against Vitali up until the stoppage. Lewis would have cruised to an easy and boring UD is my best guess, maybe with a knockdown or two. Byrd is a sucker for the long right hand.

    **** off.

What your saying is Byrd wasn't worth Lord Lewis' time but all time overrated bums like Michael Grant and David Tua was?

Lewis never fought a southpaw, in another thread I mentioned how I saw a interview with Lewis saying he hated fighting/sparring southpaws as he couldn't figure them out and kept getting hit off them.

Now I'm not saying Byrd would win as I believe he was too small, but he would have the ability to make Lewis look clumbersome at times. Lewis would take a UD imo but it wouldn't be plain sailing.

I was watching HBO Replay of Rahman II the other day, at that particular point in Lewis career, Wladimir had more interest than Chris Byrd and was considered the most 'talented' heavyweight in the world.

I agree Tezel, and Wladimir was.

But take away Wlad and the two deserved challengers were Byrd and I can't believe I'm saying this but John Ruiz.

People rave about David Tua but apart from his 19 sec ko of Ruiz, Ruiz eclipsed him career wise and again Lewis gave up the belt rather than face him.

Now again like I've said with Byrd, not for one second do I think Ruiz would win but he had the style to make Lewis look bad, I.e. another Akinwande performance by Lewis.

But to say Byrd wasn't worthy is total bollocks especially when he was accommodating people like Grant, Botha and Tua.
