Shame. This would've been a really good fight and Canelo would have gained respect for taking it.

Angulo seems the likely choice, which would be a very fan-friendly match-up in fairness. Hopefully after that, he can take on Trout, Kirkland or Lara.

I'm still scared that Schaefer will try and make Canelo-Malignaggi if Paulie beats Shane.

Man **** Canelo, I liked him when he was coming up but he is a straight up molly coddled *****. He went to the Cotto v Trout fight because he was there to fight the winner, it turned out to be the wrong winner so he doesn't fight him. He should be getting a lot of grief, he was gifted the ****ing title and has fought dog **** for a so called title holder.

Who's he gonna fight if not Trout? :dead

It's not Canelo's fault. It's Oscar's and fat Schaefer's fault. They'll want him to fight Cotto (even though he lost) because he has a huge following, and it would be a bigger fight. It's just a business to them. Cotto brings them a lot of PPV. I personally think that Canelo would fight anyone. It's those two who have protected him. They should get the blame, not Canelo.

    Regards, Loudon.

Guerrero at least has earned and deserves the payday. This will set him up if he has to abandon boxing for his wife.

Angulo for Alvarez? Blech, but you can't have Trout taking Alverez's title on an under card on Cinco de fourth or what ever it is I guess.

...and Mayweather vs Trout has 115-113 snoozefest written all over it with around 50% of the PPV buys that a Canelo-Floyd fight would do in September/November.

With the amount of decent 154 fighters out there; Trout, Lara....there's not many so realistically, if Canelo fought Trout, and just happened to lose, his stock should not fall much. It's not like there's many others to drop Canelo down out of any popularity.

    I wouldn't mind settling for Canelo/Angulo.
