Ranked 10th by the WBC and has an amazing KO record. Looks like a big year for him is in store.

It would be cool to see him in with Wilder. "Someone's 100% KO ratio, has got to go!"

He'll get exposed as soon as he fights someone decent.

    His boxing skills are pathetic.

I liked his destruction of Byarm, who came off his first close points loss to highly touted Jennings.

But I guess McCline put him in his place, and showed he has a questionable chin, dropping him hard in the first before he got dropped himself in the next round.

I think he has the power to stop every HW out there, but like so many of the hardhitters has trouble to take a punch himself.

    he is very entertaining

I was a fan until I saw the McCline fight. Magomed's defense is absolutely awful- getting dropped by ancient McCline is not a good sign.

The KO was sketchy too- to me it seemed like Jameel's legs gave out (like they did in the past)... It didn't look too legitimate

Wish him the best, but I think he'll get exposed soon.

I don't think he will go far. Might grab a belt when Klitschkos retire. Mago has motivational problems and doesn't have much except for the big punch.

like grabbing a belt would be not going far. Might it be that your perceptions are a little bit skewed?

Agree about his defence, but look at Tyson Fury as an example of how a fighter can change their tactics and improve technique over a couple of fights.

It is just a segment of boxing's superhypocritical fans. First they *****, cry and moan that no relevant fights get made and then they *****, cry and moan if somebody losses. "Put a fork in him" "he is exposed" and all that bull****...

Agreed. It reminded me exactly of Froch getting knocked down against Taylor. Both got dropped right on their ass then sat there for 2 or 3 seconds looking like they were just suprised that they got dropped then calmly got back up. Mago's head and legs were fine once action resumed. Its nothing that would cause me to believe he has a below average chin.

Compared to other prospects Fury and Jennings KD's were worse because they were actually hurt, wobbly legged, against lesser punchers than McCline (Chisora, Pajkic) or less solid punches that landed like Bowie whose shot was glancing when he dropped Jennings and that hasn't caused me to write them off as prospects.

I seem to be in the minority but i do include Mago in my 1st bracket of prospects (along with Fury and Jennings) although Mago would be in the bottom half of the 1st group.
