Devon Alexander "I will beat up Kell Brook"

My guess is win or lose Brook will surprise you if you think he's as **** as you make out.

And Jones beat Lehoulier.He aint been KOd for nearly 7 years.

Alexanders style is so far removed from Jones though, Brooks fight with him doesnt tell us much about how he'll fare against Devon.

 

pressure fighters like matthyse and maybe lopez are the types of styles which trouble brook, alexander doesn't have the workrate to trouble him, he waits and acts like a counterpuncher i can see alexander getting picked off

 

I'm slightly inclined to believe the same but I don't think it really is the case. Pressure fighters all too often fall apart against boxers of a similar ilk to Brook (see Abril/Rios, Alexander/Maidana etc), as they tend to just follow them around the ring and get their ears boxed off at range. You almost expect to see it nowadays, that is, the more technical/faster boxer type of fighter, outclassing the brawlers of the sport.

I'm giving Brook the benefit of the doubt against Jones because it was his "transition" fight and he did well enough to dig deep and get the win. Would he have gotten away with fighting Randall Bailey though? Tough question...

I think this Alexander/Brook fight is going to be pretty damn boring to the none purists cos it's going to be about sticking to the basics of a disciplined game plan, maintaining a sharp jab and doing just enough to win the rounds. My guess is; Alexander does just enough each round to win a close but clear decision.

 

I am looking forward to this fight, I want Kell to win.

 

Haven't watch much of Brook ..He looks like Hamed on steroids ..But looking forward to see this one go down i'm interested to see how either guy does .

 

I see Brook looking very confused and not knowing what to do in this fight.

 

He very well might follow through on this.

 

Alexander has a damn good chin, is fast as ****, and when he is given the chance to throw as he wants...has some decent pop. Alexander is far better than many give him credit for being, I expect him to **** Brook up. If Brook somehow wins the fight, then full credit to him, because Alexander is a tough fight.

 

Alexander should be able to take this one fairly easily IMO.

 

In spite of Brook's hype, Alexander is actually a 2/3 favorite.

 

Alexander is the bookies favorite, but Brook will beat this dude. I can see Brook taking a close decision.

 

well i'm going to be jumping all over those odds. brook is far too sharp for devon. look for devon to start having some serious problems from the 6th round. brook will be well in to his groove at this point.
