Not hate for Stevenson, but he isn't who Carl should be fighting now that's Kessler. Stevenson doesn't really posses anything which will challenge Carl, I know he is ranked highly but in all honesty that ranking flatters him and he hasn't beaten anyone in top 15 in world

 

Carl's great run of opponents has finished now. Expect Eddie to milk him.

He is the next best, but Matchroom should really be getting the best fighter over for Froch, if they got Kessler over it would do huge number and would defiantly be PPV IMO which brings in even more money for Matchroom. It is pretty illogical not to make the fight in all honesty even if they do slightly have to overpay Kessler for the privilege.

As for Stevenson he doesn't have explosive power lets not go over the top here, he has good power no doubt but that is against average fighters in all honesty and he hasn't showed the power against a world level operator. He is also chinny and doesn't take a punch well in all honesty. He isn't great on the defensive either and Carl would find him very easy to hit all night.

 

I've been saying this to anyone who will listen.. Hearn will turn Froch in to a joke. He will milk him in Nottingham against utter bums. Expect Froch to never fight Kessler.

Even of Eddie wanted that, he doesn't, Froch wouldn't allow it. He wants the Kessler fight, it's clear to anyone who knows Anything about boxing they want the Kessler fight. Stevenson is the mandatory. Whilst it would be dissapointing to postpone that fight this isn't a joke it would be good stay busy defence

It's disappointing the IBF wouldn't allow Froch and Kessler to unify, but this is an alright replacement. I just hope Froch/Kessler is next after this.
