Like some have said, its plain idiotic abuse from morons, you have been on the forum long enough to know this exist. Even with the critics, most are plain shite from people who know shite about boxing just wanting a reaction from a pro boxer.
No, it won't affect him, He's a ****ing millionaire former world champion boxer, he won't give a ****. BUT, it will probably stop him from posting here, which is the point.
I remember he used to post here a long time ago. He even gave a shout out to "the eastside boys" after one of his fights on BBC. :good
David Haye is probably loving this thread, that is why..? I was telling people to chill out Or should i say..? Say what you really want to say, I did!
The Dark Lord nickname for Booth was invented on this board, and Booth (and I think haye himself) mentioned it in an interview so I wouldn't be surprised if Haye occasionally pops in to see what people write about him. The treatment fighters get on here is shocking. Respect what these guys have achieved if you can't respect the man.
I think posters on this site should realise that professionals that actively post here (on this boxing fan website) ought to be subject to slightly different rules when it comes to 'criticism' (and for criticism you can read abuse). Why? "That's not fair", I hear you cry. "If someone is a **** I ought to be perfectly free to just tell them so" you wail. Well, no not really. This is a boxing website and people active in the sport, particularly fighters, should be given respect for coming onto the board and posting. The alternative is a free-for-all where because everyone has an opinion - from 12 year old spotty kids right through to old men - fighters get buried under a mountain of abuse/criticism/opinion etc, an amount of misinformation they can't possibly address and probably don't have the inclination or time to address it anyway. Seems to me they reach a point and think to themselves "aaaand remind me why I was here again?!" then leave. That surely makes your boxing website worse, not better. So the next time you think to yourself something like "I think Tony Bellew is a **** and I will just type it out before heading off to school pffft hrrnn that'll be funny", then punch yourself in the head. Twice. Hard.
Haye would get more respect If he just decided to focus all his attentions on boxing and clearing out the division rather than becoming a Z list celebrity. Within 2 years he could have taken out most of the current top 10 and unified the belts or at the least gained a rematch with Wlad. He would make a shed load of cash and if he beats both brothers would go down as a great fighter rather than a good one. But he wont...
