    Was Hatton Golden Boy or TR, you see how they did him:lol:

    Mayweather already admitted in the past he lightweight took his foot of the gas vs ODH, to justify a rematch at one point, he also said he carried Cotto, to make him competitive than he truly was, it's simply the nature of beast when you reach the top of the sport, and has ran out of opponents.

    They will see the light with him mate, once he dominates Guerrero then ****s off with his $90 million or whatever for 12 months instead of fighting Alvarez.

    Then returns next year against Berto or someone like that, etc etc.

    How has it turned to ****? TBH, the idea for the thread is **** as there are some good examples, including SRL, Dempsey, etc that have already been mentioned.

    Please also see where I identified 50% of the current P4P list that will not reach 43 fights in their careers, which is the number of fights that Mayweather has. Things have changed, stakes are higher, more money is made and thus fighters don't fight 100 times anymore as much as we all would like them to.

    He will. Canelo is the latest boogie man that will be disregarded as a bum after Floyd dominates him. I love Canelo BTW, I'm just speaking the truth.

    This board was flooded with threads after the Marquez fight suggesting that Floyd shat his pants when Mosley approached him in the ring. Many posters said and insisted that Floyd would never fight Shane. Cotto was supposedly a stylistic nightmare for him too.

    Floyd also ran from the 140 division to avoid Hatton, remember?

    If Pacquiao would have been smart and accepted the 50/50 deal for March 13, 2010 you guys would be focusing on someone else with the same bull****.

    Some slam dunk ATGs with a similar amount of fights as Floyd:

    Ray Leonard
    Pernell Whitaker
    Vicente Saldivar
    Wilfredo Gomez
    Azumah Nelson
    Salvador Sanchez (out of his control obviously).

    That's bad when the boogie man of a 36 year old Mayweather is Canelo Alvarez, whos best win his Josesito Lopez. :rofl

    I never said he's his boogie man, Infact I think Floyd would school Canelo something awful, probably a 10 rounds to 2.

    But, it has somewhat of a risk factor involved, so Floyd won't take the fight.

    Guaranteed.

    then make sense:tired how you gonna ask a 36 year old fighter to fight twice a year..after floyd turned 30 in 2007 he didnt need to fight twice a year..let the young fighters do that...or are you operating under a floyd mayweather jr standard..:deal

    No risk in Mosley or Cotto. Yeah sure. But there's risk in Canelo who I'd give a 50-50 shot against Cotto. Certainly hasnt beaten anyone the level of either when Floyd fought them. :roll:

    He was more active in his first career, this is his second career, he is a mega star who fights the big fights when the money is right. He has been this way since De La Hoya and doesn't need to fight more than once a year.

    I'm sure if Floyd wasnt making as much as he was he would be fighting more but that's just the nature of this PPV era where guys can make their years earnings in a night

    I haven't heard much from Floyd since the Cotto fight. His gay fans are a lot more annoying though.

    Oscar was another part time boxer. But in contrast, Oscar wasn't nearly as inactive.

    Floyd = 43 fights (44 on May 4)
    DLH = 45 fights

    Oscar = 5 fights in his last 4 years
    Floyd = May 4 will be his 5th fight over last 4 years

    My guesses are he just likes to fight and be at risk more

    or

    he makes less than Floyd probably due to shelling it out to Arum

    he has debts like gambling

    or maybe im looking too much into it

    not sure
