had a high KO%, but never had 1 punch KO power, but shattered their opponents mentally and physically from the sheer accumulation on punches landed? anyone care to share?
Mike Tyson, How many 1 punch KOs did he have?Very few, it was the speed and number of punches that did it rather than one hard shot.
Vitali earlier on in his career could blast guys with one shot, the Herbie Hide fight was a perfect example looked like he knocked him cold with a jab
the replay from behind it looked like the left came in first and the right misses and then he fellmaybe im wrong its been a while since ive seen the fight he also put away Orlin Norris pretty quickly
It took Vitali much longer than Eric Esch to dispatch Louis Monaco though. And Butterbean did it in a much more KTFO way. Though Vitali faced a more experienced one.
I think both Vitali and Tyson had a lot of power back in their primes, neither could really take one out in one punch though.
"best boxer" "history" "kelly pavlik" are in no danger of ever being used in the same sentence. That said, he has a very high ko ratio. many of his decent wins on his way to the title were ko's over guys who had never been stopped. the guy can crack but i would say he's more of an accumulation puncher. bronco mckart said something along the lines of, "everything he throws has something on it."
