the best fighter he ever fought was? Would be interesting to know, i know he said Foreman was the hardest puncher....
:deal that first Qawi fight was something else man I miss the days like that we had fights in which fighters fought bring back that mindset please boxing gods
No. 2 might be correct, but I heard him say that Foreman's punches felt like they were breaking his face. Paraphrasing.
I only watched Holy-Foreman recently, cracking fight! So was Holy-Dokes. Evander was a real warrior. I am yet to see him as a cruiser but I'd say from what I've seen at heavy, Bowe.
In his biography he says the uppercut Bowe landed at the start of the 10th round of their 1st fight was the hardest he's ever been hit. All of his cruiser & light-heavyweight fights are on youtube, from his debut vs Byarm (great 6 round battle) to the DeLeon unification. You are in for a treat, that was Holy at his best & against guys his own size. Nobody took the fight to Qawi & won, Spinks outboxed him on the backfoot but for Holy to fight how he did was remarkable, especially as it was only his 13th fight & he'd never been more than 8 rounds. What a fight :bbb
No ****, there are so many rounds in there you just ask yourself how the hell can these two just keep going at this rate? Evander is the best Cruiser weight ever had he stayed there likely he would have never tasted defeat. whats crazy is the idea to groom this man as the man to beat Tyson I thought it was insane they moved him up, knowing his style you would think he would get hurt by these bigger guys and eventually have to move back down, Nothing changed he brought that same grit with him and stood in there with some Big Heavys and fought them as he did Qawi.... You will never see another Heavyweight or Cruiser weight like Evander
:good That Qawi fight really ****ed Holy up, he was pissing blood & ended up in hospital, the pace was insane. There will never be another Holyfield. I wanted to call my son Evander but had to settle for Evan.
