Canelo Opponnent Decision Next week, Canelo NOT Ruling out TROUT, Still Main Choice!

I guarantee if Canelo fights Trout and beats him, there'll be a number of guys on this site who'll come out with...

I like Trout, but Canelo would beat him clearly, IMO.

 

im not really a fan of his, but in a few years, if he keeps his "o," he could become the face of boxing and a huge huge superstar. if u were his promoter, what would you do? i think he beats trout relatively easily, but why even chance it? he's still learning.

He doesn't have to keep his 0 to be the face of boxing. If he loses it to some one really good like Mayweather, it really won't matter.

When De La Hoya lost legit to Mosley in 2000[not the fake Trinidad loss], he still went on to be the face of boxing and even get the highest selling PPV in boxing way after that.

Canelo still has some ground to cover though, before being on DLH status. First of all DLH had fought guys like Whitaker[Top 10 P4P at the time, past prime or not], Chavez, Quartey, Trinidad, Hernandez, Molina, Leija, Ruelas etc. Canelo is really no where near that resume, but he can start with May 4th by beating Angulo or some one ranked in the top 10 at JMW, but Angulo is a good start for a 22 year old. At 22, Oscar really stepped it up winning 1995 Ring Fighter of the Year, stopping undefeated Genaro Hernandez, and also stopping top rated Rafael Ruelas and John Molina. If Canelo can have a strong 2013 against good opponents, he'd be on pace, even if he loses to Mayweather.

 

i see what u mean, but i still disagree. if he stays undefeated, while at the same time beating decent fighters, that "o" will be worth a lot of money in a few years time. just read what ghetto thug posted. assholes like that will tune in just to see him lose. i dont think he's mature enough yet. i ve seen some of his interviews and he's still a hothead. as they say in mexico: "despacio que tengo prisa."

if he loses against trout it's because he's just not that good. i dont believe he'd lose against trout. i think he's ready for the best at 154, but why rush it? he can wait a few years and become a great great boxer. he can become a huge undefeated star. that's where the money is.

Be class to see the Trout fight, I think they'd both make alot more money in this fight if they leave it a year or two though. It could be huge.

He has been hyped up by his people on Mayweather. They done told him that Mayweather is old and small. They telling him that his youth, strenght and power will enable him to prevail against Mayweather and he believes that ****. ( not true ) . They can't downplay Trout cause he is young and strong and just as big, plus he can box. They can talk thier asses off but they don't want Trout. It's too risky a proposition. 70/30 for Trout. At least with Mayweather, the money for a loss is a lot bigger but the odds are too. 85/15 for Mayweather. Now he can go with Cotto with a 50/50 prosition and still make big money. If he goes with anybody else, then his team is still scared and that's a dam shame. Not Canelo, but his team. Canelo can be hyped up to think he can beat anybody but his team knows better.:bbb

 

Canelo got 40 million viewers in his fight against hatton, same number for mosley..that's 40% of the country. That's bigger than the SUPER BOWL IS TO AMERICANS. Also grabbed more viewers than mexico/brazil gold medal soccer match.
