Ennis is circling with his mitts up and then lobbing in underhanded counters to the body. Gonzalez slides in and steps quickly back as Ennis lunges in with body shots, straightening up with his knuckles lifted protectively under his chin. Nice right hand by Gonzalez. Gonzalez is backhanding jabs at Ennis and pressing in on him. Ennis tries to counter over the top with short rights. Gonzalez bounces several jabs off the tips of Ennis' gloves and his brow. Ennis gives ground and struggles to keep the bigger man from steamrolling him. Body shot by Ennis at the bell, and he walks Gonzalez to the ropes while staring him down.

Gonzalez is shoving Ennis across the ring, crossed arms to crossed arms, and trading body shots with him. Gonzalez is warned for dropping his head down on Ennis while leaning into him. Big counter left hook by Ennis from the ropes after chest-bumping Gonzalez back to get some breathing room. Double looping right by Gonzalez. Ennis shoves his way outside and shoeshines the body. Left hook up top by Ennis. Big overhand right by Ennis. Another!!
