Trout is a lose-lose situation for Canelo.

It seems you got a real hate thang for Mayweather but that's your problem. Canelo needs to fight Trout cause that's his ticket to the big time. He needs to establish his status indiviual of Floyd and then challenge him. Right now, he dont have the right credentials and he's just trying to make some money. :bbb

 

A pro fighter with 5 division titles beating some legit names and fighting in a weight division he doesn't belong in(154) yet still winninh is a "*****". He's being pressed to face Canelo(a guy in again a weight division Floyd doesn't belong in) being the heavy favorite yet people say Floyd needs to step it up. Really ESB? True words. Yet those calling out Alvarez and his team on his **** poor choice of opponents and not yet facing a decent 154 fighter is a hater? I wish him well but more importantly he needs to be tested badly. Don't see the hype behind him but once he deserves respect as a top fighter tested he'll get it and now he doesn't atm.

Naw man, Business wise maybe, because of the high risk low reward. But I would give Canelo credit ( finally ) for fighting a prime 154 champ. Trout generated some hype going to MSG and soundly beating Cotto. Trout has beaten Canelo's brother right in Canelo's backyard of Guadalajara Mexico! So there's enough to get some hype going for a Cinco de Mayo fight. and beating Trout would get him respect from true fans.

I doubt Floyd would fight Canelo, But he might surprise me and really challenging himself before retirement. Reason I say this is because Floyd doesn't belong at 154, the only two fights he took there ( Cotto and DLH ) were against fighters who could generate a big payday and were not natural 154 lbers.
