Froch ready to drop his belt for rematch with Kessler

My feelings exactly.

 

Sauerland would surely **** anybody over the table but Froch's team won't let him do it.

Froch CAN drop his belt to face Kessler. He doesn't have to. He can fight his mandatory and say **** to Kessler's promoter. In fact, I think it is the strategy here. Sauerland's demands are too high (what a surprise!) and Froch wants to send them a clear message: I can take another route. Even if the purse bid processus is under way, Froch can drop from it any time if he reaches an agreement with Kessler. That will be the way, he won't drop his belt before reaching an agreement with Kessler.

 

I think he has to make that agreement first otherwise he could quickly find himself with little options.

As it stands he has 2 paths in front of him now that are both decent, mando defence against ranked opponent or big fight against a man who has a disputed victory over him.

He just needs to play it smart really.

 

Stoke the Pavlik/Kessler rumor just a bit more....

 

the question is if Froch drops his strap , the fight will still take place in U.K ?

i mean Kessler is the WBA-ish champ at smw and he could have some demands like the venue since he's the champ and Froch has nothing , assuming that Froch drops his strap .:think

It seems Bute wants more than 1/2 mill dollars to let them fight.

Now he is losing the belt.

Why the **** doesn't Carl fight Bute and Stevenson first? Get that **** out of the way. The good thing abut Kessler vs Froch is exactly that it does not have to happen now. It is a fight people want to see whether they have belts or not. So it can wait.

Just don't waste all the money and belts out the windown because you cannot wait 9 months...

Come on. Get those fights over with first.

Kessler went life and death with Carl Froch . Expect the same thing again but this time i see Kessler getting TKO'ed .

So I guess Stevenson vs Bute for the vacant strap and I guess if Froch wins they can have a rematch back for the belt

I personally thought Kessler won fight 1 and judging the way hes been punching in his last few fights i could see him win big

 

The WBA belt Kessler has is only a quarter belt. It is better than nothing, but not a real belt like the one Carl has. Ward is WBA champion.

Dropping Froch's belt would be the dumbest thing in a long time.

 

Well at least that will prevent him from fighting Bute again. And Stevenson too by the way which is a complete loss of time. He's almost 36 year old, keep that on in mind. :hat

 

Many people think the Bute fight was close until Froch caught him. Who knows how the next fight pans out, and also will be interesting to see how they both react to suddenly fighting in Canada.

I think it would be a ***** move if the rematch doesn't happen... and surely there will be hell to pay for Carl if he doesn't honor the fight... or if he somehow drops the belt, because then Bute came to the UK with the belt, but does not have the opportunity to win it back.
