Al Haymon has done it again and snagged Saiko title shot for the vacant WBC interim title against undefeated 34 year old Nikola Sjekloca (25-0-0 7KO). By the looks of it the fight will be on the HBO PPV for Banks v Mitchell II and Broner v Rees. Shaping up to be another big card on February the 16th.

I have yet to see any footage of Sjekoca so I will reserve my judgment until after I watch a few rounds.

Its not an HBO PPV, its a standard HBO WCB, & Sakio Bika vs Nikola Sjekloca is not on the 2 fight HBO broadcast.
At best you can hope for is a highlight clip.

Should we hope for an early finish to the Rees v Broner fight :think

You are the programing Guru

Thanks for clearing that up Kegs.

Al Haymon does wonders for Sakio Bika and his career.

I reckon Froch v Bika would be a terrific slugfest.... Both hard as nails and willing to go toe to toe.

Whereas the other top fighters in the division are happy to outpoint and poutbox Bika given he is pretty limited and very dangerous puncher

    Thanks mate

Heymon & Golden Boy are in tight with the WBC these days & should Bika come through with the win, you would expect 1 more big run in him.

from what I have seen, he looks like a european level fighter, if Bika puts in a good shift i'd fully expect him to win tbh

Sjekloca the Montenegrin Gypsy has struggled at home everytime he has fought anyone remotely near fringe contender status.
Catched his fight vs fringe contender Hadillah Mohoumadi & he barely got the win.
Brit James DeGale had a far easier time only a few weeks later.
Sjekloca lacks power & i would expect Bika to be rugged as always & walk straight through Sjekloca to a later mid rounds stoppage (7/8 rounds) IMO.

WBC Interim title?? As far as I know it's now classed Silver title. Mother Sulaiman had it changed 'cos Interim just wasn't classy enough for WBC.

I'm not even joking here but:

    WBC Diamond
    WBC Champion
    WBC Interim Champion
    WBC Silver Champion
    WBC International
    WBC Intercontinental

    WBC (regional) belts

    Poor.
