But you compared him with Cleverly who is a 'world champion'

Who do you think you are, Danny Dyer?

i think its a good bit of a business that eddie has done. if kell brook loses he can blame the holding and what not, and brook will still be relevant in the eyes of fans and he hasnt invested 7 figures in it. as long as brook can go the distance, which he is capable of.

but it will be a close points win for AD.

A big factor in this fight will be the referee.

Will he let Devon initiate clinches over and over without warning?

Will he let Brook try to work inside? (can he?)

Brook should win, but I get the feeling its mental with him. Ability wise, he ought to win. He's got a quality jab, that alone if he uses it consistently is going to trouble Alexander. He's got a beautiful right hand that he can throw off the cuff or behind his jab. The basics are what really troubled Alexander vs Kotelnik and I'd argue Brook does them a little more fluidly, with more venom and speed. The only thing he lacks that Kotelnik had that changes the dynamic quite a bit is that Kotelnik is a walk forward with a tight guard guy so there is always consistent mental and physical pressure applied. Brook is more reactive, he's going to take that half step back everytime Alexander feints, so that changes it.

Brook has all the basics to beat Alexander who is really a mugger. Awkward fighter that throws combinations that aren't really of that much value in my eyes, and slippery to get to.

But with Brook its mental, its whether he can perform away from home and perform with confidence or if gets sucked into Alexander's crafty kind of fight and gets mugged. It's whether he can take a half decent shot and not become tentative in that environment.

Akexander on points. by 3-4 rounds.

As others have stated his lack of world class oposition will cost him i feel.

dont think akexander is special but got enough especially at home to get the win.

Alexander by points. Brook's inexperience of fighting at world level will cost him. Alexander isn't all that, but IMO neither is Brook, and Alexander has faced and beaten a much higher standard of competition. Brook will find the step up tough.

Errrrrr shouldnt that be "MAG!" ero?

Kell Brook aint fought ANYONE that makes me think he can go over there in his first "big" fight, and do Alexander, who has fought at a much higher level for a number of years. It just dont work like that, if Kell wins the fight, he finishes Alexander. But I dont see it, I see Alexander dancing around like a buzzing bee all night long with Brook getting frustrated with not being able to control the fight and land what he wants. DO NOT allow yourself to be brainwashed by Hearn's promotional BS.

    Alexander by UD. :deal

Have to say I'm right looking forward to this one. It's always exciting when a fighter who has been hyped and protected steps up to world level. My prediction is he either takes him apart in 8 or under or gets totally outclassed on the way to a wide u.d defeat. I've gone for the latter in the poll as I feel having watched brook's last 5 fights, I'm not sure he's everything sky/matchroom have made him out to be.
