Mayweather. Mayweather could do it all in his prime. As good as Ward is, he lacks a natural right hand which I think will cost him one day against a good all around fighter.

My first thought was - Ward can deal with any style. He is fast, strong etc. He fights equally well inside, outside etc. But then I look at Floyd, and he is also good both inside and outside.

If I had to chose I would side slightly with Ward. I think they are about equally good from the outside. Ward boxed the fast Dawson from the outside and made it look easy.

But the reason why I would side with Ward is that he is probably a bit better on the inside. Floyd can fight on the inside really well, so the edge to Ward is not big.

Ward fights in a weak era with weak fighters

Froch is the 2nd best super middleweight in the world. Chad Dawson is the best Light Heavyweight.

Ward is good but until recently his style was ill defined and he made mistakes like leading with his head or when boxin instead of hooking off the jab and circling away he would bend down and stick left hand out in the air and pretty much be open for an uppercut. He's been fighting some slow guys but he did show marked improvement vs Dawson and Froch where he was able to box on the outside and showed good skills landing his left hook and lead right.

If Ward had to face Roy Jones, Calzaghe, Benn, Eubanks, McCallum, Toney or Hopkins youd see much less gulf in skill and talent assuredly. Sadly the only fighter near Ward right now is Dirrell and we know how thats going.

If we criticize the Klitckos for fighting in a weak era same applies for Ward.

Mayweather at 21 was fighting with the skill and guile of a seasoned vet. Ward as a decent way to go to compare. Like i said its a bit unfair when the talent pool isnt as deep and he can't weight hop like Mayweather did to find better comp

Right now Ward is the better fighter. Obviously in terms of legacy there is no comparison.

Ward is not even done but at least he has the courage to test himself against fighters at their best
and not wait around for his rivals to slip .Its easy to dominate for so many yrs when your carefully select who and when to fight .Ward has plenty of time to eclipse Mayweather .

If Floyd waits than wtf Pac does? He dig him up out of their graves?

Funny how so many people are confused that Floyd has fought more prime fighters than Pac and coming off impressive wins while Pac does the opposite and people are constantly being a dumbass when it comes to floyd.

Floyd for a whole bunch of reasons that I could write about for a long time.

I'll just quickly throw one of my reasons out there: diversity of competition.

Mayweather. But if you're asking who is harder to beat I'd say Ward. I think very few fighters in history are even competitive with Ward at 168. Only really Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, and that might be it. As far as Floyd I think a whole gang of fighters would beat him prime for prime.

Ward is in one of the strongest eras ever at 168. 168 is deeper than I've ever seen it. WTF are you talking about?

You don't know **** about boxing if you think Andre Dirrell is near Ward level. No one who takes boxing seriously thinks that. Dirrell isn't as good at Bute, Froch, Dawson, or his brother Anthony. I don't see why Dirrell gets any credit at all when he hasn't beaten anyone.
