Later on in the interview he said that he will learn it and they act like it's not hard to learn.

The thing is though, Fury would actually fight him

Velazquez would NEVER step into a boxing ring to fight Fury.

Dana White will never allow anything like that to happen, it's always "come see how you last in the ufc"

How about come see how one of them does in a boxing ring?

There is also precident for boxers having success in MMA

Obviously Ray mercer ko'd one of their champs with one punch

And then you have guys like jeremy williams, who was a journeyman/contender boxer who switched to MMA, he did ok, learned the ropes and he held his own ok, going 5-0 with 3 ko's and two submissions, and he started in like his mid 30's

It's not some mystical fantasy **** that gives you superpowers

Agree with all that, had an argument with some guy last night that was whinging because I posted up the vid of Mercer stretching Sylvia ... apparently once a boxer learns how to kick etc he's no longer a boxer ... I was like wtf you chatting about,Mercer turned pro in 89,had boxed in the armed forces etc .. just because he's learnt to kick doesn't change the fact he's boxed for 20 plus years and is a boxer first and foremost...When I added Mercer and Sylvia had an agreement to stand and trade only, the guy almost **** his pants in disbelief.

And on the other hand you have guys like Silva ... not all that in the boxing ring, but an atg in the octagon....Boxing takes a **** ton more dedication and hard work IMO.
To think people on here actually thought Santos would beat a K bro aswell,****ing laughable, that guy has some of the most awful striking technique I've ever seen.

When you look a bum like Lesnar that was UFC HW champ after about three fights it tells you all you need to know. Lesnar wouldn't crack the top 200 in boxing.

Why the hell should Cain fight him in the boxing ring? He's not the one who's deluded or arrogant enough to think he could beat Tyson at his own game-in a boxing match. Since Fury made the challenge and said he could beat him with MMA rules, if a fight does take place it should be in the octagon. If Cain said he could beat Tyson in a boxing match you would have a point, but he didn't. If Sebastian Loeb started mouthing off and saying he could beat Alonso in a formula one race, would you expect Alonso to take up rallying? No.The Toney thing was the same situation. Toney said he could beat these mma guys, which is why they fought under MMA rules. I do prefer boxing to MMA but boxing fans seriously need to stop this fanboy **** and stop acting like insecure bitches. Their craft also takes blood, sweat and tears, just like boxing. Most boxers would get their asses handed to them in MMA, and vice versa. The Ray Mercer incident means nothing. Fanboys of both sports need to deal with this fact and stop being butthurt.

My guess is that Fury isn't even serious. Just trolling around, getting his name out there, getting people talking. If he got in the octagon, it's over for him., and I'm a fan of Fury.

You're forgetting to mention something. Lesnar had a background in wrestling and was actually a very accomplished amateur. His record was 105-6. It's not like he's just some guy picked up off the street and thrown in the Octagon. Also, with MMA being such a new sport, it's unfair to compare it to boxing. Of course it's gonna be easier to reach the top in MMA, but MMA doesn't have over a hundred years of history like boxing.

I find Fury to be a very amusing and likeable character.

It's a shame but I can't see as much merit in his abilities as a boxer.
