Green looked best under Fenech and Salas Would he have been starched by Tarver if Fenech had trained him? He was trying to be slick off the ropes (no Danny, you aren't Choc) which was the wrong plan.
The question is different from the heading to the subject matter underneath. I said YES ....... Meaning Green gets hammered again, not yes that he wins btw
No he wouldn't of beaten Tarver with Fenech in his corner, Tarver was always a level above Green, but in saying that Mundine wouldn't of lasted the distance with a middleweight version of Tarver, as Tarver has always been a level above Mundine. Tarver was a genuine top flight P4P fighter, where as Green and Mundine were classy fighter who were well looked after.
I don't know why Green uses a **** trainer like Hyder, he would have done better with a different trainer against Tarver but he still would have lost. It looked like Green had no idea how to fight a southpaw, Hyder would have had no Strategy he's a complete ******...
I actually think that both Green & Mundine would have progressed more as fighters if they had better trainers.
Mundine wasted his talent. He looked great Green,Soliman II then instead of stepping it up he fought Hamden,Soliman III etc.
No, Danny would have still been knocked out. Only difference is that we'd have seen an apoplectic Fenech shouting all kinds of unrealistic tactics for Green to not be able to use on his way to his knockout loss.
I agree, I can't for the life of me work out why any world class fighter would have Hyder in their corner. I do understand that he has some money behind him and contacts in the states, however as a trainer he is terrible and his advice in the corner is atrocious. Does anyone know why Green split with Ismael Salas, he would of been the best trainer Green would of had and also had him fighting well. Although even with Salas in his corner that's not enough to compensate for the gap in ability between him and Tarver.
Lol y'all are dreaming, Danny Green couldn't live with a fighter like Tarver. Hell I still say he got lucky against the shell of Roy Jones.
